This is a private cottage on a gated property in the estate area of Pebble Beach. Enjoy the perfect Mediterranean retreat just three minutes up the forested drive from the Lodge at Pebble Beach, with its Spa, exclusive shops and four restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Downtown Carmel-by-the Sea is just seven minutes away and the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium just fifteen minutes away.
The location affords quiet seclusion, but is accessible for grocery and restaurant deliveries. Whole Foods is only a ten minute drive to the Del Monte Shopping Center!
This one bedroom-two bath cottage features two stone gas fireplaces and a full kitchen with granite counters, Wolf stove and Bosch dishwasher. The living room/library has a 55" television with DirecTv and DVR. The bedroom has a 42" television. The cottage also has WiFi and a whole house speaker system. The granite workstation and bedroom feature built-in USB ports.
The lush surrounding gardens include two old world fountains and a brick patio with teak table, umbrella and chairs for a relaxing outdoor experience.
Monterey County requires us to add a 10.5 per cent Transient Occupancy Tax.

Private, peaceful and relaxing

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. Unique homey cottage behind main house is private, eclectically decorated and with beautiful landscaping throughout property. Stefano and Thea are very thoughtful and gracious hosts who provide needed supplies for breakfast, drinks and dessert. Would recommend as a great place for a couples getaway to explore 17 mike drive area.

Exceeded Expectations

We selected the property for adjacency to both Carmel and Pebble Beach. The pictures of the unit looked very promising, but the reality was even better. The interior spaces were brighter, more spacious and appointed than anticipated. It was beautiful. The outside spaces were also private, well landscaped, and serene. The property is gated with the cottage part of the entire compound. There is a parking space which looks more like a grotto. Ease of access to and from the property is provided with an electronic gate key for vehicular movement. The owners greeted us with a wonderful explanation of the premises and provided a complimentary bottle of wine, bread and jams, granola and a refrigerator stocked with soda and flavored water. An expresso maker and milk were provided. We took full advantage of the amenities and enjoyed every minute in the cottage.

Best hosts ever

Our hosts were absolutely the best we’ve ever had at any VRBO or any other type of rental. They communicated well in advance of our visit, asked us what we would like and actually supplied items like a bottle of wine, a congratulatory dessert for our anniversary, breakfast cereal, bread, etc. They met us at the entrance to the property, helped us with our luggage, showed us details of the property which we needed to know about and answered any questions we had. If we needed anything, they were quick to respond. The cottage was absolutely wonderful, clean, comfortable and quiet. We would return there anytime we visit the Pebble Beach area again. It was a wonderful place and experience!

Paradise around Carmel/ Pebble Beach

How do i describe this...we're 60ish, good health, up for just about anything. If you're mobile, you can walk downhill to Pebble in 25min. Uphill is 30. Anything you could possibly want is available. We had 7 days 6 nights here. One of the best properties we've experienced. Quiet. Sleep productive. The hosts are attentive though respectfully distant. The vrbo itself was like being at home. No matter what time of the year you may be thinking of this place, we highly encourage consideration of this place. Hosts have been here a long time and can recommend anything. Highy recommended!

Del Monte Forest Home

We love the thoughtfully decorated home. The owners have a love of all things art and literature. The walking trails through the forest and into Carmel are heavenly. If you are looking for peacefulness, comfort and beautiful natural surroundings this is the place to stay!

All expectations were exceeded

Our stay in this lovely cottage met all of our expectations from the moment we booked our reservation. The communication between us and Thea, our host along with Stefano, was responsive and very clear. We were pleasantly surprised that she had a list of food and beverage items that would be waiting for us. Once we arrived, she and Stefano greeted us on the driveway entrance to the property. We had a great conversation to kick off our stay. They walked us to the back of the property and introduced us to our "home" for the next 4 nights. Followed by a room by room overview of the operations of the cottage. It was clean, the linens were A+, as was was the entire property. Lush will plants and flowers, we could not help but to ease into relaxation mode. Both Thea and Stefano made us feel welcome. Would we stay here in the future? In a heartbeat!

Our travel plans were disrupted by weather and an emergency room visit. Thea was responsive and supportive through the entire process. I'm only disappointed that my wife didn't get to see the casita. I purposely booked this, again, because the previous visit was so delightful. Thea is a rock star host and we are looking forward to a future visit.

Charming Secret Garden Cottage

The host and hostess were so accommodating. They met us at the front gate in the exclusive area of 17 mile drive. The cottage is very private and decorated beautifully. Food and drinks were waiting for us. I’ve rented many homes in our travels. Inch for inch this home exceeds every other one. We will be back.

Private, plush, top shelf experience

This property is an unbelievable find. It's very private, even secluded, world with impeccable decorations and landscaping. You're surrounded by forest, greenery, water fountains and statuary. Inside the unit is incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly imagine. The Host s are unbelievably gracious. When we arrived there was not only milk for coffee in the fridge but also a tiramisu cake with our names on it! This place is rented frequently so if you do have a chance to book it, do yourself a favor and stay! You won't be disappointed

Outstanding Hosts & Location

They met us at the door at check-in. The bungalow we rented is beautiful. It is clean, up to date and they fully stocked our refrigerator with our favorite drinks. The 17 mile drive is magnificent. The location of this bungalow is perfect, about 1 mile from the Pebble Beach Lodge, and is about half the price for a nicer room.
