We enjoyed our time by the pool and the amazing panoramic views. Really good restaurants and bars are only a few minutes drive away. The location was great for exploring Crete a bit and we will definitely be back to get to all the other parts we missed.

Fantastic villa with the kindest hosts

It was our first time in Crete and a bit of a last minute booking. The Villa is fantastic. Spacious, modern and extremely well equipped. You’d be hard pressed to think of something you need and not find it! The hosts are the kindest loveliest people ever. They greeted us with a fridge full of food, including wine and beer! We were so surprised and delighted. On our last day, they even dropped off a little gift for the three of us. We loved everything about this villa. So much space, excellent views with so many amazing outdoor seating areas. We made fantastic memories here that will stay with us forever. Thank you Katerina and family for a wonderful holiday x

Villa Sonata is amazing. We spent a week at the villa in May 2024. The hosts greeted us upon arrival. The Villa is the most well stocked villa ever, the welcome pack was enough to last us more than a few days! There are shower towels, beach towels and hand towels provided for all guests. The villa was cleaned and towels/ bedding changed mid stay, which was a lovely treat. The hosts were so attentive and kind, nothing at all was a trouble for them. The villa was spotlessly clean, the beds and sofas were so comfortable. The villa has so much outdoor seating you are spoiled for choice for little nooks and places to sit and relax. A car is essential at Villa Sonata, but the beautiful old town of Rethymo is only a fifteen minute drive away. There is a lush bakery in the next village, a lidl ten minutes away and a gorgeous beach in plakias (recommended by the Villa owners) a 30 minute drive away. We loved our stay here and will definitely come back. Thank you so much for a relaxing lovely week in Villa Sonata.

Wonderful and relaxing!

Villa Sonata, located in the village of Somata, is a beautiful spacious home in the hills above the city of Rethymno, an hour and fifteen minutes from Chania airport. Beautiful sandy beaches on the northern coast are a short drive, about half an hour, and wilder, rocky beaches on the southern coast are also only a half hour drive. The house was perfect for our family vacation, which included cousins and grandparents. The house was immaculate. It has five comfortable bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor kitchen and grill, pool, and a small jungle-gym for kids. There was even a crib and highchair for the baby. Katerina and Manolis were lovely and generous hosts. We arrived to a stocked refrigerator and pantry, which was very much appreciated after a long travel day with kids. Manolis kept the pool clean during our stay and fresh sheets and towels were provided in the middle of the week. A local taverna, Christos, is an easy 5 minute drive and also delivers. The hosts were quick to reply to our questions and offer suggestions for beaches, shopping and local attractions. Villa Sonata is a perfect getaway. We were very sad to leave and hope we will return again. Soon!

Toller Urlaub auf kreta

Unterkunft war genau wie auf den Bildern. Küche war voll ausgestattet und bei Ankunft war der Kühlschrank gut gefüllt. Die Einrichtung war neuwertig und die Betten waren schön bequem. Der gepflegte und große Pool war ein echtes Highlight. Vielen Dank an die netten Vermieter die immer erreichbar waren und mit Rat und Tat zu Verfügung standen . Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder.
