Steeped in history, this town dates back to before the Norman conquest of England, and its interesting heritage can be discovered at Felixstowe Museum, right on the tip of its sunny port, at Landguard Point. Don't miss a visit to Landguard Fort while in the area, where you can discover the rich military and maritime heritage by exploring the maze of rooms and passageways inside. This vibrant town also invites you to stroll along the seafront, taking in the fine Edwardian architecture; head to the thrilling children’s rides at Manning’s Amusements and Ocean Boulevard, and even hop on the little foot ferry for a trip to Bawdsey.
