We are so excited to share our beautiful house with you . I am an artist and designer and Johnny my husband is a locations manager for films and tv , snd has worked on the Doc Martin series for the last 15 years . We built this house 4 years ago and used sustainable and reclaimed materials as much as we could . The house has a wooden frame and larch cladding . I designed the house on graph paper and oversaw the build ,our son Frankie worked on the building the frame and Johnny made sure we had enough money to pay the builders each week . We have installed a ground source heat pump that keeps the house warm without using up too much fossil fuel, and all the windows are double glazed helping to keep it warm even when it’s blowing a gale . We have had a lot of amazingly positive feedback from the locals about the house which means a lot to us as we wanted it to fit it to the landscape. We both live and work in North Cornwall , I was originally from London and Johnny from Boscastle, , 3 miles from where we live now .

Why they chose this property

The North Cornwall coast is the rugged and wild coast , with incredible beaches , moorlands , secret valleys and woodlands . It’s the land of extremes and an incredible place to explore .

What makes this property unique

Skylark is overlooking the sea in a unique spot with amazing views through every window . . It’s been designed and built to be luxurious and rustic with real and traditional materials used throughout . Oak floors run through out the house with underfloor heating .
