Our stay at Gratton for my 50th

- Space to park all of our cars. - Ensuite in all of the upstairs bedrooms. - Space in the house for all to enjoy and spread out their own activities. - BBQ with 2 gas bottles - Lots of outdoor space - Good size kitchen and social area - Lots of fridge and freezer space - Jacuzzi bath - Food waste disposal - House could use a deep clean in places like corners, cupboards etc. We paid for extra cleaning for a dog and to go in early however didn't feel we really needed to pay that when there were so many cobwebs. I hoovered when we arrived especially the stairs and landing as this wasnt cleaned. - Need pint glasses as none available. - Garden needs some attention particularly some of the borders and the old patio area. The furniture was green with algae and didn't use it. - Needs some general maintenance as some bulbs need replacing and batteries in remote controls. - Outside bins and house were up a very steep incline. Nothing you can do about this but anyone who struggles with hills and inclines woukd not be able to stay. - Lovely to be remote however even the 1.5 mile walk to the pub involved steep hills. Perhaps more of a mention of this. - Recycling facilities filled up within a couple of days with a full house.

We absolutely loved the views and the space!

It's quite out-of-the way from the city and if you're not familiar with the location, it can be quite scary to drive through the small roads. After dark you're pretty much going to want to stay in the property only. But overall it's an amazing place, well worth the drive. The peace and quiet is so refreshing and really worth the travels. Having a piano was fantastic and we used it quite a bit!
