About this property

ESTATE HOME CLOSE TO HERSHEY AND GETTYSBURG

We have a total of 4 bedrooms, and 3 and a half baths with a formal dining room, informal eating area, great room, nook and TV room, formal living room, and a large kitchen with a large center island and walk in pantry, and a large laundry room.
. All the rooms in the house have windows with natural light making for a cheerful environment. All the bedrooms are on the second floor and all are large rooms with either walk in closets or double closets. The master bedroom has a king size bed a large walk in closet and windows on two sides for lots of natural light. It also has a large flat screen TV. The master bath has a shower, double sink and vanity and tub It also has heated floors.. In the spring the windows in the bath look out over our blooming Dogwood trees. We have three other large bedrooms, two with King size beds and a third with a queen size bed. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom with a double vanity and a heated floor and the third bathroom has its own bathroom with a shower and tub.

In addition on the second floor is another room with a queen size sleeper sofa, two chairs and a large flat screen TV, great for the young folks in your group.
On the first floor is the kitchen with a large center island, and off of the kitchen is a family dining area overlooking our back yard and patio area. There is a double sided gas fireplace opening on both sides to the kitchen, and the great room.
The great room has floor to ceiling windows windows on one side, 30' ceilings, a large comfy sofa, two chairs with an ottoman and a large flat screen TV. In addition the first floor has a well appointed half bath. There is a formal dining room with windows over looking the front porch and yard and also on the same side of the first floor a formal living room with a door that open to our wrap around front and side porch. The house is appointed with the very best furnishings and original art work throughout the house. We also have a large 3 car garage.

The house is conveniently located to many of central Pennsylvania's most visited places. We are 30 minutes to Hershey, 15 minutes to Harrisburg, 30 minutes to Gettysburg, and 45 minutes to Lancaster County and all the Amish and Pennslyvania Dutch venues and attractions in that area. We are also 90 minutes from State College and Penn State University. PLEASE WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY EVENTS, WEDDINGS ETC. AT OUR HOME.

Great for families

Perfect place to stay for an over the top wknd !

The guest house was beautiful, from the landscape to the scenery and the wildlife… very relaxing. Very accommodating for our group. ( My Moms 4 sisters and their husbands spent the wknd there.)

Beautiful home!

Perfect place to stay

We rented this fabulous home to attend a family reunion in the neighborhood. The hosts were very gracious and accomodating. We lacked for nothing. Highly recommend.

Great place for family!

The kitchen, breakfast nook and large family room flow together allowing my family to reconnect in a spacious, warm space. The many windows bring connect the inside to the outdoor space and invite you to sit on the patio in a very private setting. Dale was a great host.

Beautiful Home and Location

Wonderful home base while we visited the area for our family reunion. Beautiful home and property. Easy access everywhere! The family enjoyed conversations around the fire pit at night. It was also a quick drive to Hershey Park for the kids. We will definitely stay again when travel brings us to the area!

Our favorite property

My wife and I have stayed here several times and once with two adult children. This is our favorite place to stay when in the area. Dale and Shirley are great hosts and the property is amazing. Love the area and wildlife. We will be sad the day they stop being hosts as I believe it would be hard to find another property or hosts of equal standing in the area.

What a lovely home for our family reunion! Clean, very spacious, kitchen is well equipped, outdoor grill was nice to use. Location was close to attractions, outlets and grocery stores. We even enjoyed the 7 inches of snow we received the day before we left!!! I would definitely recommend this home!

A Lovely House

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. The grounds were beautiful and plenty of yard space for the kids to play. The rooms were quite large and decorated so nicely it would please anyone's decorating taste. I would definitely return.

Lovely property

We were in town for a family reunion. This home, in a lovely established neighborhood, provided a large space for our family. The grounds were gorgeous, with the occasional visit from deer and chipmunks. We felt right at home. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were gracious. The kitchen was well equipped. We would highly recommend this home as a place to stay.

Fabulous property!

This is an absolutely beautiful home, nestled in a super quiet neighborhood with everything our family needed and more. The grounds are awesome; we loved sitting outside among the flower beds with butterflies all around! Peaceful neighborhood to go on a nightly walk. Beautiful home in central PA

This is a beautiful home with plenty of space inside and out. My family enjoyed the lovely gardens and all the wildlife. We saw several deer and many different kinds of birds - they even have a bluebird family living in a birdhouse in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the house is conveniently located to Carlisle, Harrisburg, and Hershey for family activities. Thank you for a lovely stay!

beautiful property

this was not only a beautiful location the property was well maintained and beautiful as well. the owners had detailed instructions for staying and checking out as well. would not hesitate to stay here again. loved the back porch with the wildlife. the only thing that was strange was there was no empty dresser drawers in the master room to put clothes in so we lived out of the suitcase but that is a minor gripe. did not take away from our stay but made it a little different than other places we have been. overall great place 😀.

Gorgeous Home and Generous Host

Dale and Shirley’s home is a haven with ample space for our family and a beautiful back yard overlooking a creek (actually caught a small trout!). The Good’s were very responsive to any questions and accommodating to several special requests and questions. They generously shared their home which boasts authentic original art, mementos from their family trips, and is also apportioned with everything we needed. We most enjoyed our time around the outdoor fire ring and table visiting by the bird and flower gardens. Highly recommend this house for your next stay.

Perfect Accommodations!

We had a family reunion in the area and so three of our families booked this home instead of hotel rooms and we were so pleased with the decision. The home is beautiful, the property is stunning and it was the perfect place for all of our group. The kids enjoyed the grounds, the adults enjoyed the patio chairs, and the kitchen was perfect for our group, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The house is sectioned so that even though we had booked at full capacity, we never felt as though we were on top of each other. It was a beautiful place, with beautiful weather. Check in and check out was seamless and communication with the owners was very easy. We loved the place and look forwarding to booking again sometime soon.

Amazing House!

We had such an amazing vacation, and Dale and his home were a huge part of it! It was our very first vacation with all of the kiddos, uncles, cousins, etc. and the home was the perfect place to spend our time all together. The house was in beautiful condition and only 30 minutes from Hershey Park, which made our two days in the park nice and stress-free! Dale’s house had a huge front and back yard which was perfect for playing with the kiddos and the neighborhood was very quiet and private. There were some cute coffee shops nearby as well as some amazing playgrounds! If we ever do a PA/Hershey vacation again, we will definitely be staying here! Thanks for everything, Dale!

Perfection!

What a wonderful place to stay! My husband & I, 2 adult children, and 2 grandchildren ages 3 & 7 all had a great stay at this beautiful home. We were about 10min from where my sister's family were staying, and about 30min from Hershey Park which was of interest. We were surrounded by beautiful landscaping and wildlife outside, and interesting artwork and artifacts on the inside. Simple check-in, and our gracious hosts provided many necessities, information on local grocery stores, points of interest, etc., even a pizza place and a Chinese restaurant that delivered! Accommodations were super comfortable! Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Perfection! Would definitely go back there again!

Great House for Family

Our favorite home away from home

This is our second stay here and the owners are very kind, great in responding to questions and the house is beautiful as well as located in the excellent proximity to the Harrisburg Hershey area. it is our permanent future home for visiting family in Pennsylvania as long as it is available.

Terrific Weekend Getaway

We loved this home!! The setting with the trees and the fall decorations. The house had everything you good ask for! The pictures of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready were beautiful! We were 5 minutes from the venue and dinner rehearsal.

Beautiful country charm!

Lovely, sprawling home in a picturesque location for attending a long overdue family reunion in the surrounding area. We really enjoyed the manicured grounds and walks in the neighborhood.
