Pop to see the remains of the 13th century castle.
Stretch your legs by walking to the top of Crug Hywel or Table Mountain as it is also known
Pick up The Beacons Way in either direction or take a walk along the River Usk since it runs through an historic crossing point, marked by the fine 17th century bridge.
Crickhowell really is a super place to visit
Our beautiful cottage is a lot larger than you would think by looking at it’s pretty facade
We enter into a little entrance vestibule which has a solid wood ledge door which opens up onto the charming cottage beyond.
From here we enter into a fantastic size lounge with room for 8 people to sit comfortably.
Looking onto the cast iron wood burner, set into a large chimney breast with a solid Welsh Slate and stone hearth.
A TV with Netflix awaits your cosy evenings in.
2 wide and deep stone steps lead us up to a fantastic size dining reception which has double doors opening onto the rear courtyard which holds a lovely 6 person hot tub covered by a large gazebo and is a wonderful way to relax in private in any weather, against the lovely back drop off an original stone high built wall and rear access gate.
The kitchen is extensively equipped an fitted and you will want for nothing, should you decide to cook a formal dinner, or a relaxed evening meal, everything you possibly need is on hand.
From the kitchen we are led to a utility area with a tumble dryer and a stunning ground floor shower room.
We access the first floor via a hidden central stairway which leads a gallery landing.
From here are all 3 bedrooms, a super king size master, with a solid oak super king size bed, a double twin with solid oak single beds and a single room with a single bed.
You will have full access to all parts of the cottage during your stay.
