Tamarind House is located on the most South West end of the Island of Grenada, on Point Salines. Entering the Tamarind gates, and winding up the driveway lined with colorful bougainvillea, tall palms and fruit trees, you are transported into the serene peace that is Caribbean life. Windward breezes carry the sweet sound of wind-chimes and the tropical fragrance of the ocean, cooling you as you enter the spacious and secluded Spanish-style home through arched doors into a walled open-air courtyard. You are at once struck by the breathtaking views of the glistening turquoise waters of Grenada -- a vista of the Caribbean Sea and from afar the bustling island capital of St. Georges across the bay. This exceptional classic Caribbean villa comes with modern amenities, and 6 private bedrooms. All come complete with their own private en suite bathrooms, AC units, and ceiling fans –making this the perfect two family get-a-way or multiple couples retreat. It is also large enough for family reunions or celebrations with its large dining room and full gourmet kitchen, making it perfect for entertaining. The house is divided into 2 wings for privacy and panoramic views of the ocean (Caribbean on one side, Atlantic on the other), and communal spaces for getting together in the kitchen, dining room, exercise room, separate TV room, patio, and veranda. Also on the property is a full service studio cottage available --details of renting cottage not listed here, please inquire for additional info. Over 2 acres of lush lawns and gardens create seclusion, and you have your own private path to the beach below. The beach (Magazine Beach) is anchored on one end by one of the top restaurants on the island, The Aquarium, which conveniently offers rental chairs, beverages, and food to patrons of the beach. Magazine Beach is also one of the top snorkeling areas on the island, with Caribbean reefs just yards away from the shore (we provide all the necessary equipment). A 10 minute drive by car; the closest shopping plaza has grocery, bank & other shopping just 3.5 miles away. Or you can go to he capital of the island, St. Georges, about 7-8 miles or a 20-25 minute drive. Visit the bustling spice market to barter for fresh nutmeg and spices from smiling local vendors. There are endless restaurants and activities, easily accessible by car or taxi. Among numerous experiences and activities-- Some might want to experience the local buses going in and out of the popular areas to town, or travel up 1,800 feet above sea level to the crater lake “Grand Etang”, which was once an active volcano and now a picturesque place to begin hikes on jungle paths or feed monkeys. There are also a number of botanical gardens and waterfalls, accessible by car, or hikes of various level of difficulty. After a busy day exploring, discover one of many of the beautiful beaches to relax on and “lime” with some of the most friendly and welcoming people on earth. Grenada truly is a tropical paradise, with something for everyone: sunny beaches, beautiful waters, delicious cuisine, friendly locals willing to help, and lush jungle mountains. Come find out for yourself what makes it so special.

Everything about this house is spectacular - the view, the amenities, the location, the house staff and the owners. Aisha was so welcoming and helpful and Rashmi was so friendly. Dereck kept the gardens and wow - they are as gorgeous as a 5* hotel. Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed everything. Access to the gorgeous beach was a real bonus. Highly recommend - we hope to return one day!!
The house is gorgeous and the location can't be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed by how well appointed the kitchen and bathrooms were. Aisha the house manager and Rashida the housekeeper are incredibly kind and helpful. Would absolutely recommend this property to friends!
The house was gorgeous, spacious and everything we were hoping for on our winter vacation. The access to the beach was icing on the cake and our kids loved being able to walk down and go snorkeling or swimming whenever they wanted. We would come back here again in a heartbeat! Everything was perfect and we felt very welcome from the moment we landed at the airport until we (sadly) had to go home.
Highly recommend, house had everything we needed and the pool and view are amazing. Amber went above and beyond to help with our needs.

Perfect Getaway
Tamarind, Grenada and Jesus and Hallie made this a perfect getaway for 4 couples who have traveled all over the Caribbean. The house has everything you need and more to relax and enjoy your vacation. Wouldn’t change a thing! We loved every minute. Hope we can return.
From the moment we arrived at The Tamarind House — via a 2-minute drive from the airport — until our departure a week later, we could not stop remarking on how lucky we were to have made such an incredible discovery. We had long been planning a family vacation to a sunny, beachy place, but never imagined we'd find such a perfect place. Grenada is amazing all by itself, but to be there in a beautiful, comfortable home and its countless amenities — that pool! — and just steps down to one of the loveliest beaches imaginable was truly a dream come true, even more so with the fantastic weather. Add in the graciousness of our hosts and their caretakers, and it was a trip to paradise that we all will remember and cherish — until we go back again sometime soon.

Perfect Vacation
This property was perfect for our family. The house is gorgeous with a floor plan that worked well for separate family units. The outside spaces were incredible and our group of 11 stayed outside almost all the time except when we were sleeping. The kitchen had absolutely everything you need. I really can think of nothing that could be improved. My husband and I had the upstairs master suite and he mentioned that it would be great if there was a coffee machine located upstairs so you could have early morning coffee on the balcony without going downstairs. So except for that very insignificant suggestion, I would say Tamarind Villa is pretty close to perfect!

Linda, We were so happy we could help make your 50th Anniversary even better with your family vacation. And appreciate your wonderful review, coffee on the balcony is one of our favorite things to do too. Best wishes for many more fun packed years,
cheers Pamela & Bill & Alexandra
It was really perfect. Lovely spot, super view of the Caribbean Sea. Home was really comfortable, infinity pool was super. Very pretty gardening and surrounds. You felt the “warmth” of the villa, felt like we were visiting family and “at home”. Short walk down private path to the beach (uphill return was not a problem but need to be in decent health. We are all in 60’s and no problem ). Kitchen well set up and dining inside or out was perfect setting. Beach had darn good snorkeling, some surf from time to time but no prob. Near the airport, occasional plane but notice only in passing and that’s it. Special call out to Aisha the house manager she was so positive, can do helpful. Made a big difference. And we had a driver Andy Redhead/radio taxi who was terrific, and we needed a van for 8 of us. All in all a perfect visit.
This property is fabulous (and we are picky)! The pictures don't do it justice. It is gorgeous. The view is to die for, the large pool and lush landscaping are amazing, the outdoor seating is abundant and varied between sun-shade-dappled, the beach is beautiful and practically deserted, the kitchen is well-stocked, the bedrooms are comfy and CLEAN and stylishly decorated with adorable details, the proximity to the airport is unbelievable, and the staff is sooooo friendly and helpful! NB: You do need to be very ambulatory to get to the beach (or you can drive but we never tried that because we have no trouble walking but our elderly parents would have had to drive if they came with us).
Gorgeous property!!! It seems close to the airport, but it isn’t noticeable. Beautiful pool and hot tub areas. Fabulous restaurant just below the house at the end of the trip.

Wonderful house and property in a beautiful setting.
A group of 11 could not have found a better place to enjoy each other’s company, the beautiful weather and the charming island and it’s hospitality. Both the house and outside space were perfect, allowing us to enjoy each other’s company while also providing spaces inside and out for privacy and relaxation. The house lacked nothing, from well equipped kitchen and pool area to little touches like Bluetooth speakers in each room and plenty of towels for beach and pool. The path to the lovely beach is a bit steep, but well worth the trek, whether to enjoy the surf or to have a drink and listen to live music at The Aquarium restaurant. All in all, the perfect place to get away with family or friends.

A perfect villa in a perfect location!
My family stayed at Tamarind Villa for 8 days and are thrilled we made the trip. Our party consisted of six adults and five children ranging in age from eleven years old to five months old. Starting with the proximity to the airport--a one minute drive or five minute walk up the hill--everything is perfect at Tamarind. The house itself is amazing. There are two separate wings of the house with three bedrooms each. The rooms are large and beautiful. The bathrooms are luxurious and the beds are comfortable. The views can't be beat with panoramic views of both sides of the island. The outdoor area with an oversized pool and additional sitting/dipping pool is fantastic. It is perfect for relaxing and having fun. There are plenty of different seating areas and plenty of areas to get out of the sun. The kitchen is the most well-equipped kitchen we have ever seen with everything one can imagine. The private path down to the beach is scenic and leads to a beautiful beach. The water is perfect for swimming and there is plenty of shade provided by the trees if one wants to stay out of the sun.
Overall, our family had an amazing stay at Tamarind and can't recommend the villa highly enough. We're sure to go back.
