Lakeshore cottage with Hot Tub - Hullet Hall

Hullet Hall is one of our most individual properties as we have kept true to its historic and prevalent features such as the stone walls and beamed ceilings.

The open-plan kitchen/dining room allows for the social dining experience for all the family to enjoy before heading out to bask upon the rich natural beauty of the secluded Windermere shoreline.

The property consists of two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom on the first floor of the property which overlook the gardens and fields up towards the famous Silverholme Manor. With your own private jetty and a hot tub you will be spoilt for choice.

Our second stay - love it

Such an amazing place and position. We will come again many times with our family. Such a beautiful position - a very special place. The only negatives was the down stairs heating - it was so cold and the upstairs was so hot. Also being a family that go away a lot, not being left any cleaning products was a shame as it’s hard to leave the property as clean as we would have liked. Some of the baking trays were not clean and this is probably because previous guests had the same issue.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the setting and found it such a special place for your family — we’d be delighted to welcome you back again. We’re sorry to hear about the temperature imbalance you experienced. The downstairs lounge does have underfloor heating, so it’s helpful to know it still felt cold at times, while upstairs was quite warm. We’ll certainly review the system settings to make sure the heat distribution is more balanced and comfortable throughout the property. Thank you also for your comments regarding the cleaning supplies and the condition of some of the baking trays. You’re absolutely right that guests should have what they need to leave the property as they found it, and we’ll address this with our housekeeping team to ensure standards are improved going forward. We really appreciate your feedback — it’s invaluable in helping us improve the guest experience.

Fantastic

Fantastic Location and Hullet Hall has everything you would want for a comfortable stay. Nice touch is the welcome pack with tea, coffee, and a bottle of beer !One small thing which would add to the accommodation is a radio. That aside the property has 2 large fridge freezers in the outhouse and an integrated fridge and freezer in the kitchen. Plenty of utensils, cups, plates, knives , forks etc. Cosy front room with a log burner. The shower and bath are good with plenty of hot water. Underfloor heating in the front room. It is very secluded with fantastic views. I would definitely recommend

Amazing location and great cottage

Fantastic cottage, right on the lake. There are three sheep fields (usually empty) that you can access directly from the cottage, which allows 'reactive dogs' a chance to be off-lead, chasing birds and rabbits. Secluded location and a wood-fired hot tub, make this a great get away. Only thing missing is a fire pit.

A tranquil holiday

A lovely comfortable stay in a fantastic location. So much wildlife to see. The track down is a bit hairy but do-able. Lovely walks on the estate.

The perfect cottage on the lake

We hired this cottage along with the big silverholme manor at the top of the hill. Having access to the jetty just made our week so special, this cottage is perfect for a cute Lake District getaway. Swimming every morning and a hot tub on a night is just amazing.

Good break away

We have enjoyed our week in the Lakes. Have been coming to the estate for over 20 years - unfortunately it has become much more expensive and yet the cottage remains the same.

We had a very happy stay and will probably book it again.

Hullet Hall is a very comfortable cottage for six people to stay in . The situation on the shore of Windermere is idyllic and the hot tub was a great bonus. It is very well appointed and is dog friendly. During the end of our stay we had a problem with the central heating but this was repaired very quickly at nine o'clock at night so all was well

Weekend wedding

Location perfect right by the lake only a short walk to silverholme where we were attended a wedding which was also in a beautiful location the weather was perfect. The cottage was cosy & well equipped just could have done with a hand rail on the outside steps & a bannister on the bottom of the stairs as we are in our 70s & found it slightly tricky but we had a lovely time & would recommend it lovely having your own lake frontage .

We love Hullet

We have already booked Hullet for next summer. It is our favourite place on the corner of the lake and we really appreciate Graythwaite estate and Graythwaite Adventures for always making us feel welcome and like we belong there.

Our luxurious "overspill"

We had six people stay at Hullet. They loved it. The hot tub got plenty of use, as did the woodburner on the one cold night. Worked really well with Silverfholme for our overlarge family. Thank you.

Incredible location!

Wow, what an amazing location—right on the shore of Windermere! We spent a couple of nights here after our wedding, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and soak it all in. Waking up each morning to the sight of the lake was absolutely magical. The place itself was beautifully kept—spotlessly clean, cosy, and thoughtfully designed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We made good use of the wood-fired hot tub—it took a while to fill and heat, but once it was ready, it stayed warm for ages. Sitting back, relaxing in the warmth, and looking out over the water was such a special experience. We only wish we’d had more time here, but we’ll definitely be back!

Stunning

Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. We had a great week with family. Having the lake so accessible we were able to bring kayaks and paddle boards, which was great fun. The hot tub is also a lovely addition! We also had a go at axe throwing with Graythwaite adventures which is really worth doing. Overall a great week and we will definitely return to Hullet Hall.

The Cutest Lakeside Cottage

Hullet Hall is perched right on the edge of Lake Windermere, and what a beautiful view it is, the cottage is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, here you can relax in comfort surrounded by the most amazing breathtaking views. We booked Hullet Hall as additional accommodation for our wedding guests, it is a stones throw from Silverholme Manor so perfect for our best man and his family to stay in. The cottage has the beauty of period features with modern day comforts, amazing views and walks through the woodlands or alongside the lakes. We highly recommend Hullet Hall as a home from home and somewhere to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. A truly lovely property in an amazing location.

Hullet Hall

The property is in a superb location with the Lake Windermere on your doorstep. It’s very quiet and peaceful. It’s a traditional property but very comfortable with everything you need. There was an issue with the TV but when I mentioned to Graythwaite Estate they responded positively. We went clay-pigeon shooting- for our third time - and it was great fun (as always). It’s not too long a walk to the shop at Graythwaite. Unfortunately it wasn’t open as often as on previous visits, maybe due to the recent fire and works still ongoing to get everything up and running again.

Beautiful

Hullet hall has a magical location with a jetty onto the lake. The beds are very comfy and has all you need for a lovely comfortable stay. Kitchens very well appointed. One comment is that I happily paid a premium for lake access, however when there are weddings and events on in Silverhome guest (which sleeps many) walk down the path right past the cottage windows to access the lake. I think it either needs to be clear to guests in silverholme that this is not party of their property or expectations set in Hullet Hall that thirds guests may use it too and priced accordingly. Otherwise true bliss!

I don’t want to go home

The early 18th century Hullet House is a beautiful white cottage on the very edge of Windermere. It’s completely idyllic and a real one-off. I would choose to come here over anywhere else I have stayed. We hired paddleboards and canoes from Graythwaite Adventures which is a 5-minute walk around the lake and paddled them back to the cottage where we jumped off and swam to our jetty. The cottage is really roomy for 5 of us, there would be room to bring the grandparents as well, and the back garden are the Graythwaite Estate woods full of wildlife. The estate is teaming with deer, rabbits and pheasants. We also used the indoor swimming pool and did 4x4 off road driving and archery and bushcraft. We are about to book in for next year! Thank you Graythwaite Estate!

Lovely to be back

After a break of 10 years we returned to Hullet Hall. It was lovely to be back. There's been a change in the company structure since before, lost some of the personal touch. Had a few problems but got resolved. Negatives: Severe lack of coat hangers T spoons - just 2 Dessert spoons - just 4 Insufficient mugs so have to keep washing up by hand Lock on front door faulty Track to cottage is really bad, fine if you have a land rover! About 3/4 mile and takes around 8 minutes over lots of bumps Outside light no manual method to turn on and sensor not working so dark steps when returning at night Very uncomfortable corner sofa No corkscrew but rectified next day Water extremely hot caution advised Positives: beds very comfortable Location is unique Kitchen generally well equipped. We lost something and am very impressed that it was subsequently found and returned.
