We had driven from the uk through France and northern Italy and wanted a quiet base in order to explore Tuscany - San Gimignano, Siena & Florence and chose il bugnolo as it looked an ideal place. Simone & Klaudia provided great communication from directions and check in, to tips and trips for our stay and the place itself was perfect. The shared kitchen space meant we could meet other guests over breakfast and coffee and worked really well and the absolute bonus was the pool. We were lucky and had done great weather and although the water was a little chilly, it was a great way to cool off. We had everything needed for a weeks stay with the room tended to daily. A simple breakfast and coffee available each morning and a wonderful location to wake up to.The location was great - a little out of the main town but only a short drive for restaurants, supermarkets and the station at Poggibonsi with connections to Siena in less than 30 mins and Florence in just over an hour.
