Located in the stunning Peak District countryside, Ashbourne Heights Holiday Park is a popular location for those who love exploring the great outdoors.
Our Holiday makers and home owners love being able to escape to one of the most scenic locations in the UK whenever they choose.
The convenient facilities at Ashbourne heights are located in a small cluster of traditional brick buildings. There are plenty of picnic tables and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting, or watch the younger enjoy themselves in the children’s play area. Also, field and picnic area for children’s ball games, kite flying, safe cycling and good family fun, just off the accommodation track.
Accessed directly from the park, the famous Tissington Trail has been created from the last of the Victorian railways and runs for 13 miles through some breath-taking Peak District scenery – use the trail for a safe and enjoyable walk or cycle to the market town of Ashbourne.
The popular Tissington Trail also sits at the entrance to our park, so you can get on your bike and explore this 13-mile, traffic-free trail, which follows the former Buxton-to-Ashbourne railway, with tea room and snack bars on route.
The park also offers a fantastic accommodation option for those looking for an alternative to hotels near Alton Towers Theme Park - with the park less than 25 minutes away, it's the perfect place to relax after a thrill-seeking, action-packed day.
Other nearby attractions include the famous Gulliver's Kingdom, Chatsworth House and Heights of Abraham, while the nearby towns are Matlock & Matlock Bath, Ashbourne, Tideswell, Carsington Waters which is seeped in tourists information about the location, with plenty of family activities, to include sailing. The Stepping Stones in the Peak District Chee Dale, Hathersage, Bamford and the Ladybower Reservoir, the Market town of Bakewell is especially interesting on Monday market day, is also all worth a visit. The famous spar town of Buxton is worth a visit, only a 30 minute drive to explore the beautiful town, with its opera house, tea rooms antique shops and Pavilion gardens.
Perfect for those who love exploring the great outdoors, or simply wishing to get away from it all, this Derbyshire gem has it all.
