Short but lovely break in this clean, light and comfortable house. Beds were so comfy, bathrooms great and living room cosy too. Views amazing. Perfect base for exploring the area.
The cottage is very comfortable and has all the services you need.If you're fortunate with the weather as we were, there is excellent walking from the door and a nice private courtyard patio to relax and have a drink in
We loved everything about our stay at Vinod’s property - spacious rooms, fabulous views, great showers and a perfect enclosed courtyard area for my dog to enjoy. Thank you Vinod for the easy communication and accommodating our needs. My elderly mother and Aunt can’t stop talking about how wonderful the property was. We all enjoyed our first visit to the Peaks and would love to return for longer next time. X
Our adult family of 5 had a lovely stay in Vinod and Krishna's beautiful cottage. The living/ dining room was perfect for spending time together, and the views were stunning. The beds were comfy and the cottage was clean and well thought-out. Vinod was a considerate host and easy to contact when needed. The location is handy for lots of lovely walks and Chatsworth House is a short drive away. We would happily stay here again!
A very well presented and cosy cottage. Very clean and appreciated the littlebag of tea bags, biscuits and coffee pods together with everything needed for washing up. Also appreciated the bag of toiletries in thebathroom

About the host
Hosted by Vinod
We love travelling and discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, landscapes and ways of life. Some of our favourite travel memories have come from places we hadn’t originally planned to find — those unexpected discoveries that stay with you long after the journey is over.
That’s exactly how we found this beautiful corner of the Peak District.
Why they chose this property
For our very first holiday in the UK, we stayed at a hotel in Lathkill Dale, and we still remember how quickly we fell in love with the area. There was something about the peaceful countryside, the beautiful walks, rolling hills and views that made us feel completely away from the rush of everyday life. Even after that holiday ended, the place stayed with us.
Over the years, we often talked about how wonderful it would be to have a little place of our own here — somewhere we could return to, wake up to these views, spend time together as a family and simply enjoy the tranquillity of the Peak District. So when the opportunity came to have a home here, it felt very personal to us. In many ways, it brought us back to where our own UK holiday memories began.
That is also why sharing our home with guests means more to us than simply offering somewhere to stay. We hope you create your own special memories here. Maybe it will be a quiet morning with a cup of tea looking out over the countryside, a family walk through Lathkill Dale, conversations by the fire, or simply having time together away from the routines of everyday life. This beautiful corner of the Peak District has been part of our family's story for many years, and it makes us genuinely happy to share it with you. We hope that when it is time to leave, you take a little piece of this place with you — and perhaps, like us, find yourself wanting to come back one day.
