Location is fantastic, just a short walk down to restaurants and lake. Nice little welcome pack on arrival and check in was super easy. Perfect for a short couples break.

A very nice modern studio apartment with its own parking space. Ideally located for easy access to local shops and Lake WIndermere. Welcoming packs were much appreciated. Everything you could want in the apartment apart from a freezer. Gave us plenty of excuses to try the local ice cream though. Would certainly stay here again.
Lovely studio apartment in a great location. Easy to walk up to Windermere or down to Bowness. Lots of nice pubs/restaurants. Easy Breeze restaurant was very good. Dales Way walk to Staveley was lovely and easy to get the train back to Windermere. Apartment was well equipped, though note there is no microwave or freezer compartment in the fridge. Could do with a sieve/colander in kitchen to make eating in a bit easier. Would say biggest improvement would be to swap out the massive empty sideboard for a dining table - bar stools not great for having meals or playing board games! Great shower and really comfy bed. All in all, a great base for a lovely week exploring the lakes.
Great location. Quiet. Easy to walk to Windermere or Bowness. Modern upgrades. We booked through VRBO, but we did not know the payment is through the property management company outside of VRBO. VRBO has a big warning to never pay outside of VRBO, which I asked the property manager about a few months before coming when they asked for payment on their website. We received no response for a week, at which point we received another message telling us our stay was going to be cancelled if we didn’t pay on their website. The property manager did not respond to my messaged questions about paying outside of VRBO. I called VRBO and it took them a while to figure out that it was OK to pay outside of VRBO for this type of listing. Apparently they are just used for a booking front-end.The owner finally responded to my questions, and we got it sorted out. Their lack of communication/response did cause a bunch of wasted time and stress.A small thing: there was no shampoo! A first for our many VRBO stays. It make it feel cheap. And you don’t know until you need it. So out for a shopping trip before you shower. This is why people are switching back to hotels and inns.Lastly, they have a 100 fine if they find dog poop outside. Absurd since there is no way to prove if it came from your dog (which we did not have). And would they really fine a guest?? It just left such an unpleasant taste.Overall the place was functional, but the management approach made it feel off-putting.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you liked the location, quiet atmosphere, and modern upgrades.
Regarding the payment issue, it's worth noting that VRBO does allow certain listings to be managed externally, which was the case here. That said, we understand the frustration and will work on making that process more transparent.
As for the shampoo - we do not provide this in Esperance as this is a self catering accommodation, we also do not advertise toiletries on the listing so guests are aware in advance they will need to bring or purchase their own. Apologies if you did not notice this when booking.
On the pet waste policy: the fine is there to deter irresponsible pet owners, not to unfairly penalize guests. If you didn’t bring a dog, it’s not something that would ever apply to you. We’ll review the wording to make it less off-putting.
Appreciate the feedback — we’re always aiming to improve, but also want to set fair expectations for future guests.
