Summary:

Nestled in the heart of Canterbury in Kent, you’ll find St Radigunds House. This beautiful, period cottage has been lovingly restored into a cosy and stylish holiday home. Sleeping up to four guests, it’s perfect for couples, families and small groups of friends. Close by to pubs, cafes and local amenities, St Radigunds House provides a comfortable base for exploring the historic city.



The Space:

St Radigunds House has a cosy cottage feel throughout with beautiful, exposed beams and traditional sash windows complemented perfectly with wooden furniture and dark soft furnishings.



Upon entering the cottage, you’ll be welcomed into the open plan living and dining room. A statement fireplace dominates the space and is surrounded by armchairs to create a snug feel. At the rear of the room is the dining area which features a wooden table and four chairs.



Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge so you can prepare home cooked meals during your stay.



Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find a bedroom and the family bathroom. The bedroom boasts a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a full-length mirror.



Modern and clean, the bathroom has a large walk-in shower, WC and vanity unit with a basin.



On the second floor, you’ll find the second bedroom. With a sloped ceiling and beams, this space is cosy. Every care has been taken to ensure you have a blissful night’s sleep as both bedrooms have premium bed linens and plush bedding.



Outside you’ll find a private courtyard.

St Radigunds House is located in the unique medieval walled city of Canterbury. One of the most famous and culturally significant cities in the UK, there is plenty for you to explore here.



Discover Canterbury Cathedral which is one of the most iconic landmarks in England and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With stunning architecture, intricate stained-glass windows and a rich history, it’s no surprise it has over one million visitors per year!



You can also visit The Westgate Towers Museum and Viewpoint where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city from the top of the largest surviving medieval gateway in England and learn all about the city.



As well as historic attractions, Canterbury also has a vibrant arts scene, theatres and events throughout the year making it fun for all ages. A fantastic destination for shopping, dining and drinking, the city has an abundance of independent shops, eateries and bars waiting for you to explore.



Canterbury Festival is an annual two-week festival which offers a spectacular of music, contemporary dance, comedy, theatre, lectures, and much more! This festival is a fun and cultural experience, attracting audiences of up to 70,000 people. You will experience unique opportunities that are only available as part of Canterbury Festival!



Getting Around:

Canterbury West rail station is a short 10-minute walk from the cottage where there are regular journeys to Margate, Ramsgate, London St Pancras and London Charing Cross. Plus, the journey into London is under 1 hour with Southeastern trains which is handy!



The nearby towns of Ashford, Broadstairs, Dover and Margate can be reached via car under 45 minutes so Kent can be explored easily. If you fancy heading to the seaside, the beautiful town of Whitstable is a short 20-minute drive away.



If you intend to explore by bus, the nearest bus stop is within walking distance and serves the University of Kent, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate.

Hosts should to clean out the garbage and wash down the outside backyard alcove before next guests arrive. They also have instructions for leaving garbage to be picked up by the town, but I believe the information is outdated.
