Welcome to Blue Anchor House - a large 3 bedroom Detached beach house, ideal for a large family coastal holiday in arguably one of the finest locations on The Bay Filey holiday village - with pool and beach access included.

Blue Anchor Beach House is located at the entrance to Blue Anchor Road - being really close to the leisure centre and playground this is a popular road and really family friendly.

Take advantage of the two large parking spaces and deck and then enter Blue Anchor House through the step free door into the hallway with storage for shoes and coats. To your left is the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room with private deck, and next to this is the second king size room with en-suite and private deck. Finally there is a twin bedroom with en-suite and private deck area (with patio doors).

Blue Anchor House is ideal for guests with limited mobility due to it being on one level and with little touches like reversed doors and smaller shower screens allowing access to all the amenities.

Off the hallway to the right is the large open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with new leather sofa(s) and large SMART TV (with Netflix, amazon prime, Apple TV etc - bring your own logins). Exit through the large bifold doors to the spacious deck with family seating, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside.

There is a large outside deck level external shower and private "beach" bathroom with a WC and shower - ideal for washing boots and dogs after a day of fun!

We leave a few games for our guests to use. The log burner and underfloor central heating makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

This was our second visit to Blue Anchor House the property offers large living area , , ,three ensuite bathrooms and large kitchen the property is ideally placed on the bay for access to all immunities and the beach a short walk away very close to the centre within touching distance of everything you need Will definitely return to the property again would like to thank everybody that Anchor Bay holidays for a wonderful break

holiday haven

We had a wonderful time at Blue Anchor House - absolutely nothing to complain about and to be honest none of us wanted to go home at the end of the stay. All the facilities were perfect and we loved being able to use the leisure centre and it was awesome being so close to the beach, one of the best on the coast in my opinion. We would definitely recommend and would book Blue Anchor House again

Looked great in the pictures was even better in reality!

This was a family Christmas stay that included our elderly parents, it was perfect. A warm property that didn't really need the wood burner but there is something so good about a proper fire. The kitchen is well equipped and nicely laid out that made our special meal easy to perfect. Beds are all comfy, good size rooms all ensuite. It even has an outside toilet. Netflix, comfy sofa's, large dinning table, 2 parking places with a bit of garden and two decks with table & chairs. Even a leisure centre with a pool, sauna and gym next door. Next to that a pub and shop. What more do you need? A beach well that's a half mile walk and what a beach it is too. The area is made for exploring, we had a fabulous week and hope to return. Yes you guessed it we loved it.

Fantastic Property

Fantastic holiday. Property was clean and well equipped as well as spacious. We were in close proximity to the pool and tennis court. The beach is a short walk away and really clean. We had our dog with us and the Property is dog friendly, the whole complex is dog friendly to be fair. We had a welcome pack on arrival and after a 4 hour journey we were ready for the tea/coffee and biscuits in this pack. We would highly recommend this Property and will be looking to book another weeks stay, next year.

Returning stay

We stayed twice in the same week with ABH absolutely fantastic service Anthony was so helpful fantastic cabin location was brilliant in the bay we will definitely return to the bay and stay with ABH again we have stayed on the bay many times but this was the easiest booking that we have made at The Bay

Beautiful holiday home

Had an amazing stay at blue anchor house with our family . It was comfortable and beautifully decorated throughout. We had everything we needed for a lovely break . The position was fantastic aswell , close to all amenities. The break was brilliant from booking to leaving . I would not hesitate to going back to blue anchor house or to recommend to friends and family

Fantastic place

We had a fabulous stay at Anchor Bay House. It's very spacious & has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The little box of goodies is a nice touch too. If I had to nit pick, we could have done with a shower mat in our bathroom but it didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay The location is great - at the Bay itself, it's literally 50 yds to the on site pubs, leisure centre & chemist. With regards to Filey, it's a lovely couple of miles walk along the beach. It's a great place to use as a base too, we went to Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head & Whitby but there are also other places to visit. I can't fault the communication from Anthony at ABH, prior, during and after our stay - he provides all the information you need for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back - I can highly recommend.

A Great New Year with Friends

Booked for the first time 3 nights away with Anchor Bay Holidays and stayed at Blue Anchor House. From the start the service was excellent with being kept up to date with everything via email with comprehensive details of everything to do with the house, village and area. When arriving the property was exactly as expected, clean, tidy and comfortable with fresh bedding and towels and everything you would need. As it was New Year we took some logs and it was lovely having the log burner through the days and evening. The property was great, 3 separate bedrooms all with ensuite and a large communal, open plan, kitchen, dining living room. Wifi good and smart TV has most things that you can watch. All in all a great few days

Great location, shame about the cleanliness

On arrival at Anchor Bay House, our first impressions were very good. It appeared to have everything we needed for our holiday. However, our opinion changed when we began looking around in more detail and found: Dirty cereal bowls in the cupboard Air fryer had not been cleaned and was full of fat Dirty oven Only half the toaster worked Floor not swept under the leather chair TV stand covered in dust One bathroom did not have a bath mat so when you had a shower, the water went everywhere, we compromised by putting down a hand towel The attachment for the window blind had come away from the wall There were other small things that made the whole place feel a bit unloved and in need of a good overall check. I did report all of these things in an email, along with questions about the heating and gas hob but I never got a reply so we just got on with it. On a positive note, it's in a great location, close to the leisure centre, chemist, tennis courts and pubs. The house is spacious, with great outdoor seating areas, ideal on warm days for eating outside. We did enjoy our stay, despite the lack of general cleanliness and attention to detail and I would recommend to others because none of the issues were major, it was just disappointing that things hadn't been checked. We were told that we had booked direct with the owner and NOT to check in with reception on arrival. This is the only reason I didn't report the issues to reception, perhaps in hindsight I should have instead of the email.

Great weekend

We had a good weekend at the blue Anchor house. We have been coming to the bay for over six years at least 3-4 times a year as we love it and it is a great location to spend time with our dog. The blue anchor has a well stocked kitchen if you want to cook. Beds were comfortable. We did have an issue on the first morning as we had no hot water but we rang the emergency number and they sorted it quickly. The blue Anchor is in a great location, close to the pub, shop and a short walk to the beach path. The only suggestion I would make is to not have the heating set to such a high temperature, we couldn’t turn it down or off so we ended up opening doors and windows to cool the property down which adds to the owners heating costs.
