Spacious & comfortable stay for a group of friends

Beds comfy, bedding soft. Very clean throughout. Thoughtful touches like including 2 kettles, plenty of utensils, pots/pans, glasses, crockery. Kindly gave us wine & biscuits. Swimming pool great. Peaceful location.

Great stay

The Park had all you could need for a perfect stay and was ideal for exploring the local area. Instructions for location and arrival were precise. Tea, coffee and chocolate were very welcome! Good bus service to Craven Arms for train links. Sharon, the manager was very welcoming and readily on hand for any issues. Thank you. Overall for a large party it is a perfect place, especially with the added bonus of a shared pool. The book with house details and leaflets for sightseeing were in a drawer under the coffee table which was only noticed on the third day. Perhaps it could be left on the table for arrival. The book also needs updating.

A perfect cottage for a family gathering

The setting was beautiful and the cottage perfect for our needs. All the ensuite bath/shower rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen spotless. The bedrooms were all of a good size and furnished well with plenty of cupboard space. The lounge and kitchen/diner accommodated the number easily. It was lovely to be greeted with bread, butter, milk, biscuits and wine on arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses and saucepans. The cooker was great for so many. A huge bonus was the swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis table in a lovely area for little ones to play. The house manager, Sharon, and the owners we met were very friendly and accommodating. The lightning in the lounge was quite bright some lamps would have softened it. Some large jugs for water and a measuring jug would have been useful and more table mats and coasters. Also a large chopping board. We would have found it helpful to sort out the recycling if we had separate bags or bins for each type, eg one for glass, one for cans, one for paper etc. We would have appreciated some more information in the file such as maps, places to visit etc.

Great space, lacks a bit of finesse

The space was amazing for a big family get together, the facilities were lovely to have on site. It's a bit tired. The carpet looks about 40 years old and all the crockery and glasses look like they've come from charity shop hauls. The pool was freezing cold and there is no where to get changed (upstairs is dirty and not nice at all). The towels are tiny too so you can't even protect your modesty with them. Although the bathrooms are newer, the finishes on them aren't great. The floor in the kitchen has some broken bits which are dangerous and hurt your feet. The BBQ (whilst a lovely feature), was so so dirty and hadn't been cleaned for ages resulting in a lot of horrible smoke. The folder with info doesn't really have any info in it. COVID 19 stuff and risk assessments wasn't what we were hoping to find. A map of where the pool and playground were etc. and how to book the pool etc. would have been much more useful. The blinds in the lounge area are broken and have to be rolled up manually. And the curtains in he bedrooms let in so much light so everyone woke up as soon as the sun was up. We loved our stay, just a few pointers on how to improve. Thanks for such a lovely time!
