About this property

Unique renovated former chapel - Pass the Keys

About this space
This former Wesleyan chapel has been recently renovated (late 2023) to comfortably sleep 6 guests and offers a quirky yet homely feel in the living area with a modern design throughout the rest of the property. The living room hosts a grand piano and the main bedroom features an open-plan en suite with a freestanding bath and a 50" smart TV. The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms overlook the kitchen galley offering a unique viewpoint. The well-equipped open-plan kitchen/diner offers a great entertaining space.

The space
Wesley Place is pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs. Please read and be sure you can adhere to the Pet section on 'Other things to note' before booking with your pet.

We can also supply a travel cot & high chair for your younger guests for an additional cost.

Wesley Place has ample room for 6 guests to sleep, eat & relax. The living room features antique furniture, whereas the rest of the property combines modern decor with stylish antiques. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven & hob, dishwasher, Smeg fridge freezer, coffee machine & microwave. The 3 bedrooms have been renovated with comfort in mind and the bathrooms are stylish & modern.

Guest access
The entire home is available exclusively for guest use.

Other things to note
Up to 2 dogs are welcome at an additional fee of £30 per pet to cover extra cleaning. Please ensure the pets box is ticked when selecting the number of guests, and message us in advance with the details of your pet. Please kindly consider our house rules if you bring your dog:
- Dogs must be well-behaved and house trained
- Dogs must be strictly kept off the beds & soft furnishings
- Any fouling on premises must be cleared up without delay
- Muddy paws are to be cleaned before being allowed in the house
- Dogs must NOT be left alone on the property

We can also supply a travel cot & high chair (£20 per stay), please request these at the time of booking.

The bathroom & main bedroom have low ceilings so please take great care. There is also a low beam in the 3rd bedroom above the bed.

The washer and dryer is located in the 3rd bedroom. The smart TV in the living room (not shown in the images) is located on top of the unit within the recess.

The gas fire in the living room is currently out of order. There is very efficient central heating and also underfloor heating downstairs which ensures you won't be left cold!

PLEASE DO NOT light the candles in the lounge, they are for aesthetic purposes only. There is additional hanging space available in the cupboard on the landing. There is a desk in the living room that can be used as a workspace.

Additional rules
No parties, please do not light the candles as they are there for aesthetic purposes only. Maximum of 2 dogs per stay.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

2 night stay

The property was great and as advertised. Sadly however, tepid hot water all during our stay until we discovered on the last morning that the thermostat on the combi boiler has been turned right down! Suggest that a collection of 'normal' coffee/tea mugs be provided (we were worried about using the 'collectables'). Suggest also a set of 3 saucepans with lids for the stove. However that said, an amazing property situated in a beautiful small town. The chapel was very well appointed, clean and inviting.
