About this property
Pigeon House: Barn with hot tub, wood burner & large private garden.
Pigeon House is a renovated Grade II listed Victorian barn in Shropshire, located just 5 miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury. Featuring 2 en-suite bedrooms, a stunning living space with a wood burner for cosy nights in, and a private enclosed garden with a hot tub available all year round and garden furniture for the summer months.
Previously housing cows, with a ‘pigeon house’ on top, the property has been lovingly restored show casing original features, and providing all you need to enjoy a relaxing break in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
The space
Adam and Elaine are delighted to welcome you to the Pigeon House, a gorgeous renovated Victorian barn with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and brickwork. It has an original central turret that houses the dovecote (pigeon house!) on the top of the building.
The property is spacious with a large garden. Perfect for families and friends to spend time together. It’s also ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Well-suited for extended country weekends or longer stays, it allows guests to fully explore all that Shropshire has to offer.
BEDROOM ONE
Super king bed, wardrobe with drawer, bedside cabinets, luggage rack, USB ports, full-length mirror, robes and slippers.
En-suite with walk-in rain shower, shaving point and heated towel rail.
BEDROOM TWO
Four-poster king bed, wardrobe space, chest of drawers, side tables, chair, luggage chest, USB ports, full-length mirror, robes and slippers.
En-suite with walk-in rain shower, shaving point and heated towel rail.
LIVING SPACE
In addition to the two lovely en-suite bedrooms, the vaulted great room is the hub of the building, providing an open plan space for curling up in front of the wood burner to play board games or watch the smart TV (don’t forget your favourite app passwords).
There’s a fully equipped kitchen, with a Nespresso Original compatible coffee machine. It includes a wine cooler too, and a dining area seating up to four guests. There’s also a dedicated desk space for working for those that want or need to.
The WiFi is good and there are USB ports in the bedrooms and one in the kitchen area.
The property is heated by an air-source heat pump and has underfloor heating.
OUTSIDE
The garden which used to be a working dairy, is enclosed and private for guest use only. There are recently planted wildlife-friendly borders, a large patio area; garden furniture and sun beds in the summer months, and of course the hot tub which is available for guests all year round.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property for their sole use, including the private enclosed garden and parking area to the rear of the Pigeon House.
