𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:

Malachite Lodge hosts incredible south-facing views of the lake. Start your morning with a long bath overlooking the water, and let the rest of the house find their way to the comfortable living area. The decking is enclosed, so feel free to let your dog explore. There’s plenty of seating outside when you’re ready to join them, so you can also make the most of that lakeside panorama.

The downstairs living space is open-plan and recently refurbished, with floor-to-ceiling windows that look directly over the lake. The layout is designed for family groups who want space to spread out without drifting too far from each other.

𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:

You’ll have full use of the lodge, the enclosed lakefront decking, the private hot tub, the outdoor dining area and the BBQ. The decking has direct access to the lake, and private parking is right outside the property.

Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.

South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.

Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.

𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:

• Parking available at the property

• 7 miles to Kemble Station, with direct trains from London

• Local buses from the end of the lane to Cirencester and Swindon

𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:

The house is pet friendly. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (£30 per dog). A travel cot and high chair are provided. Paddleboard hire is available on request, and decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.

Quiet hours run from 10:30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀:

Everybody finds peace in a different way, and that’s how it should be. From the moment you book, you decide the pace, and we’ll be there to help you plan, and create moments that really matter. It’s that little extra layer of support we offer to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thoughtful service, that never gets in the way of a good moment.

Whether that means a slow morning with a fresh pot of tea and a long soak, or a day out exploring neighbourhoods and nature - we’ll guide you, so it all unfolds just the way you’ve pictured it.

Fantastic getaway

We stayed at the Water's Edge Lake resort for a weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. The lodges are stunning & you couldn't ask for a more beautiful location. The weather was fantastic so we enjoyed using the hot tub of an evening whilst the sunset. Would highly recommend.

We all loved the hot tub and the peace and quiet of the Malachite Lakehouse. Waking up to the lake views was wonderful, especially during the quiet, peaceful mornings spent watching the birds on the water. The lake setting is peaceful and private, with amazing sunsets. The views out of the windows, both upstairs and downstairs, are absolutely stunning and really make the property special. The host communicated well and was responsive throughout our stay. One small note is that the open bathroom and shower in the master bedroom felt a bit unusual, but it did not detract significantly from our overall experience.Overall, this is a beautiful, relaxing lakeside property and we truly enjoyed our time here.

Enjoyed a weekend family get together at this fantastic property. The setting on the lake was peaceful and private with amazing sunsets. The hot tub, bbq and kayak were additional pluses. The property location was perfect, allowing us all to do varied activities such as bird watching, paddleboarding, horse riding and fishing - something for everyone within short distance. Also, two picture perfect cotswolds villages within walking distance and we manged to fit in an evening meal at Asha at The Crown, Cerney Wick, which we highly recommend. Loved our time here and didn't want to leave.

A spacious home in a beautiful setting

The views out of the windows both upstairs and downstairs are stunning. We loved sitting in the hot tub watching the birds on the water with a glass of wine in hand. The place was plenty big enough with decent size rooms, enough seating for everyone and the kitchen was well equipped. We relaxed with beauty treatments and had a fun trip to to try archery at the Cotswold range. We even managed a gentle paddle across the lake using the canoe from the house.

We stayed at Malachite as 2 families and had an amazing long weekend, we all loved the hot tub and the peace and quiet of the property, waking up to the lake views was wonderful! The house was extremely clean and the layout is very family friendly (enough space for a game of twister!), the children also really enjoyed the "open up" wall between the bedrooms they used. The kitchen had everything that we needed we plenty of space to get everyone involved in meal preparation. The open space downstairs with the decked area was brilliantly laid out.Despite the October weather we even managed to have lots of fun making use of the kayak on the lake and then warmed ourselves up in the hot tub.The one small comment was that it was strange that the main bedroom doesn't have a door separating the bedroom from the bathroom. It was a lovely weekend, with Malachite making a great base from which we could explore the Cotswolds.
