Nice, clean small flat. Sweet little kitchen. Well stocked in plate ware etc. Fans in the bedroom were great as it was still quite warm. Responsive host and no problem checking in at all.
The apartment is small, but just fine for 3 adults (or 4). Comfortable beds, serviceable bathrooms (small showers, but not too small), decently equipped kitchen. The setting can’t be beat, though. The host gave excellent instructions for accessing the place, even met us in the car park to make sure we got in safely. L’Antica Fonte, just around the corner, is fantastic for dinner. It was a great home base for exploring Tuscany.

Fairytale experience
Very unique experience which was enjoyed by all of us. Veronica was very accommodating responded to my emails and texts. This village only has 10 restaurants which made the experience even more unique, quaint and romantic. I would highly recommend this house to all and would love to come back soon.

The apartment was located in a 13th century village which was very interesting! Pisa and Florence was a 1+ hour drive away. We were able to visit these scenic, tourist areas and then go back to the peaceful, quiet village. Loved it!
Certaldo Alto is a beautiful place. We stayed two nights here and enjoyed this relaxed, layed back mid evil village. The apartment was great, one bathroom needed a good cleaning and the other bathroom needed the shower head replaced, barely any water flow. We also had no toilet paper, after contacting the property manager we found out she got married that day, so I get it! Congratulations!!!
Overall, we had a great stay, enjoyed the apartment and loved the village. Took a cooking class while in the village (highly recommend Cucina Giusepina), had some of the best food ever and would certainly return!
Nice appartment - as long you travel with not more than four people in a Fiat Cinquecento don´t like cooking and taking showers.
Otherwise, with a family of six people (as we announced before), the apartment is definitely too small.
You are not able to enter the village with a car of the size of a Minibus, measuring like a usual stationwagon but higher, to unload the luggage in front of the door, as it was said.
So you find yourself in the situation to carry heavy family luggage of six people through the village after a long trip. At least the woman who handed over the keys was nice enough to take the luggage that fits in her small car for one ride. Unfortunately there wasn´t time for more.
The apartment is brightly designed, there are two stunnig bedrooms and a sofabed immeadiately next to the entrance door, a narrow mini kitchenette and two small bathrooms.
All is clean, but the kitchenette so small, that it is no fun to cook. The pots are old, the cutlery smelly there are no closets to put your groceries in other than in the fridge.
The bathrooms are small and shower tiles need a good profound cleaning. Since the showers are simply separated with short curtains and there are no real shower trays the bathrooms are flooded each time one takes a shower.

Fantastic location to explore Tuscany
Wow what a lovely traditional apartment in the lovely town of Certaldo Alto. Views were spectacular from the bedroom windows. Fantastic location to explore Tuscany. Certaldo Alto is a wonderful little town with half a dozen restaurants, would recommend the pizza restaurant and Casa Tua, would go back.

casa molto carina

Well appointed flat in a unique historic village.
A family of 4, we spent 4 nights at this property in Certaldo Alto, a small, historically proud village above the otherwise unexceptional small farming town of Certaldo. The host, Veronica has equipped the flat with everything you might need for a comfortable stay (fans, WiFi, well equipped kitchen, etc) but with at least 6 excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in the village and all within a few hundred meters, we had a hard time cooking for ourselves!
This is a pedestrian only town, although Veronica will help you bring your car inside the walls when you arrive to drop off your gear. Our children were very happy there and ranked it as 'one of the best' of the places we stayed at while in Italy. We made one trip to town to go to the public pool the first afternoon, just to cool down and get a feel for the other Certaldo. This is also an excellent base to explore the area; we chose San Gimignano and Lucca (not quite local), and caught Siena on the way out when we headed further south.
As luck would have it, we left the morning of the day the big annual street festival Mercantia started. We heard enough rave reviews from people both in and out of Certaldo that we made a separate trip back one evening just to check it out. Definitely, if you are in Tuscany in July, check out Mercantia.
Overall, a great experience in Certaldo Alto and staying in Veronica's flat.

Nice apartment in a wonderful old city
This apartment was quaint and nice for a short visit. We loved this village on the hill. The drive up is spectacular. It also is easily accessible vie cable car. The aprtment was tight for 2 couples but it worked well. I also want to thank Virginia for helping get reservations for our nephew at another apartment in the village. Everybody was so nice and we loved the location for trips to Florence, Volterra, Siena and San Gimignano.

Great apartment in a medieval Etruscan town.
So much history and energy run through this town and apartment. We enjoyed our stay in Certaldo. There were two concerts in town and a few fairytale weddings that we came across. The bedrooms were big and the bathrooms were clean and efficient. Veronica was very helpful with getting our bearings and the bottle of wine was a nice touch. We loved the cats that roamed the town and occasionally our apartment, lol. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed sipping our wine watching the sun go down over the Tuscan hills. The kitchen was perfect for us as we cooked six out of seven dinners. Our one dinner out at Osteria del Vicario was phenomenal. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The local wine bar was teeming with younger locals in the evening and the owners were very nice to us. Great selection. We highly recommend this apartment and Certaldo Alto for someone who wants to experience real Tuscan living.

Mycket trevlig!
