Return stay in The Little Nest

We stayed here last year and loved the location and everything it had to offer which inspired us to book again. We had another lovely stay however our only criticism on this occasion is that The Little Nest is in need of a refresh as it is now showing signs of looking tired and well used.

A lovely stay

Great location we were able to walk from there without the need to drive, although we did wonder at busier times whether you would be disturbed by the pub downstairs. Accommodation was comfortable and clean.

An excellent stay

We were very impressed with the accommodation - just right for two people. Bed very comfortable and everything was just as described on the website. We have booked to stay again next year

Short break

We didn’t realise how small the little nest was when we booked, it was very cosy and convenient for the beach and lovely coastal walks. Unfortunately there was no egg cups and teaspoons, the oven didn’t work until we found the switch hidden behind a bin in a cupboard. Suggest information booklet.

Little Nest

The Little Nest makes the most of the space it has. Very bright room, so eye masks should be packed. Character shash windows look good, but do let in the draught. Out of season rates are very good but check that the pub is open. Very high quality fittings. We enjoyed our stay.

Little Stay At The Little Nest

We stayed between Christmas and New Year , few problems ie toilet constantly blocked when flushed, place needs decorating as looked tired , rules about shoes off in hallway other guests at The Nest didn’t do this and stairs were filthy , hard to monitor that obviously. We tried it out as we’ve booked the Nest as well for a large birthday celebration this year. All problems reported to Anglesey Holiday Lettings but we managed as only stayed two nights.

2 day stay Little Nest

Location is fantastic, pub is welcoming and great for all, including dogs. The accommodation has some design flaws, but for our short stay was not really an issue, however for a longer stay it would be possibly problematic. A slimline wall unit would be invaluable in the kitchen as there is no food storage for dry goods. Tea spoons were limited and only one was provided in the cutlery draw, otherwise the kitchen was well kitted out. The layout of the toilet and sink can be an issue and may have benefited if the toilet had been on the same wall as the sink, as there is very limited space to sit on the toilet and wipe your bum without headbutting the sink. If you wanted to be picky you could say the sealant around the bath is looking tired. Overall it is comfortable and well presented, the bed is hard to get out of as its so comfy (lol).

Anglesey Chill

Very good location, friendly staff in the White Eagle, fantastic walks, lovely beach just ten minutes away. Parking not always available outside of our property. Lovely big comfortable bed. Can’t wait to go back.

Highly recommended!

Fabulous apartment. Spotlessly clean. Sufficient kitchen crockery & utensils. A microwave would be useful. Quality bedding & towels. A five minute walk to a beautiful beach. The food in the White Eagle is excellent & the customer service is exceptional. I ate there every night. Very minor negative points. The apartment is ideal for one but maybe restricted for two. The shower force is slightly poor & I would have preferred the water to be hotter. There is a reserved parking space but this was in use by the other apartment & caused a minor dispute. The front door is slightly tricky to open with the key. I have already booked to return to the larger apartment next week & The Little Nest will definitely become my regular holiday home on Anglesey. I cannot praise it highly enough & no real criticisms whatsoever.

Ideal location to explore the rugged Anglesey coastline

A fabulous place with everything thing you need for a short stay. The tea bags, milk and biscuits are a nice touch. The apartment is lovely, very clean and well decorated. The adjoining pub is great too. The only slight niggle was the roller blind on the side window was broken meaning daylight flooded in from 05.00 hours.

Great Apartment

The Little Nest is an excellent little apartment for a short break. It’s in a great location and having the White Eagle on the doorstep is a huge plus. In fact I think the only possible improvement would be an extra chair in the bedroom as there isn’t a lounge area. We’ve already recommended The Little Nest to several friends and would definitely consider staying there again.

Great escape

The Little Nest is great for a weekend away, the bedroom was more spacious than expected & the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts & an evening meal ( be aware there is no microwave if you do use one) Best of all just downstairs in The White Eagle there is great food & drink with lovely welcoming staff.

Very good but needs tweaking to make it excellent

Spoilt by minor problems no toilet paper in the loo had to get some from the pub and toilet seat loose. Comfort would be greatly improved by getting another chair in the room.

Lovely Spot!

Lovely stay super close to the idyllic Rhoscolyn beach and super handy for us who had a wedding in the Hotel downstairs. I raised a couple of points with the letting folks but only small things - no signage on anything for The Little Nest including parking, actual sign on the door and wifi - so a bit confusing. That coupled with a really rude member of staff at The White Eagle made for an interesting beginning to the stay. HOWEVER - the flat is lovely, very nice interior, super comfy, lovely bed etc. I think the price is a lot but I understand that this is a sought after location.

Good in most parts

Flat was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen knives were v sharp which is a bug bear of mine in self catering accomodation so great to use knives that worked well. However a variety of minor niggles, some of which could be easily remedied. A vacuum cleaner was left in the room. Unnecessary and an eyesore. The teapot was extremely dangerous and a potential scalding hazard . The base was unstable and it rocked back and forth on the worktop. Needs replacing. One of the mugs was cracked. Needs replacing . No washing up bowl provided - one could easily fit under the sink so needed to use too much hot water to wash up. Nowhere for washing up to drain. Toilet is positioned v close to sink unit so anyone over 5 foot tall needs to sit sidesaddle on the loo. Hence loo seat now loose and not positioned properly on loo. A small shelf above bathroom sink would be handy. Hot water system not always reliable. The wooden shutters in bedroom look lovely and work well but let in a lot of light . A roller blind in addition in summer months would reduce too early waking ! Also one window had a very thick, expensive looking and well made Roman blind but it was a foot too short for the window so also let in too much early morning light. There is no freezer compartment to the fridge so no ice for drinks or small amount of frozen food. The pub was great and location smashing - we ate there both nights. Because of the above niggles I am sorry I could not recommend the accommodation to others, but would do so if the majority of the problems could be resolved

Two Night Stay at Little Nest

We really enjoyed our brief stay at Little Nest. Whilst the overall space is available is cosy, it was more than sufficient for our two night stay. The bedroom is very spacious and the kitchen and bathroom areas, whilst small, are definitely more than adequate for just 2 people. The location is fantastic, being very close to fabulous coastal walks whilst also having a great pub downstairs. In terms of comfort, our only negative was that the bedding (pillows and duvet) was feather-based, to which I have an allergy, so my sleep was affected. Before arriving, I usually request non-feather bedding, but on this occasion (as it was a last minute booking), I didn’t have time. We would definitely stay at the Little Nest again.

A Lovely Hide Away

We wanted a quiet few days, in the sun, by the sea, not to far away from home, with the dog and near a pub. It was all that we wanted and more. We were 10 minutes walk from a lovely little beach. Above a very good pub, the White Eagle and the dog loved it. She was spoilt rotten by everyone. We will go again and explore the area more.

Little nest review.

I think it’s important to mention that our stay at the little nest although very enjoyable and comfortable you are in a bed sit. It’s compact and you have all you need to eat and sleep but I wouldn’t stay for more than a few days. We can’t fault the cleanliness and it is tastefully decorated.

The Little Nest

We had a three night stay in The Little Nest recently and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location was great for exploring coastal walks and the beautiful beaches in the area. The White Eagle was an added bonus, welcoming staff and very dog friendly. We liked it so much we’ve booked to go again next year

Great little place

Positives : Really lovely little apartment for 2 people . Very comfy bed with good textiles. In an ideal spot to walk down to the beach. Food and service in the White Eagle excellent! Negatives: We could only open one of the sash window as the others were stuck , ( A fan would have been handy ) The Toilet seat is a real problem and definitely needs replacing as others have already stated .

3 night stay at Little Nest

Reported problem with loose toilet seat on day 1- not resolved by time we left. Ongoing problem with room's Wi-Fi signal. Gave up in the end, and used White Eagle Wi-Fi bar connection ( Unsecured) . If Wi-Fi hub is located the The Nest room, then the Little Nest needs a Wi-Fi signal booster . No microwave in kitchen? Kitchen sink area also needs a draining board. Emphasis appears to be on looks over practicality? Large showerhead over bath located close to end of shower swing door, so that shower water goes all over bathroom floor? Overall pleased with accommodation, but it needs a few 'tweaks'

Comfy little bolt hole

A small but well equipped little apartment. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed and there was plenty of storage but a second chair would have been nice. Well equipped kitchen but needs a cupboard to store food in.A fridge with an ice box would have been handy.Needs a pair of scissors in the kitchen.
