About the host
Hosted by Charles Money-Kyrle
When we left south London for Wiltshire in 2001, we dreamt of that wonderful HE Bates novel "The Darling Buds of May". And of course the TV series was magical too... The English countryside, loads of animals, a more simple life... and colourful friends! And that is exactly what we found...
Why they chose this property
This area has the beautiful North Wessex Downs rising above the clay valleys of the Avon Vale... a perfect combination. Add to that the history and architecture of so many of the local towns and villages; histroic houses like Bowood; together with ancient stone age legacies of Avebury, & Silbury Hill.
What makes this property unique
Informal, historic and with capacity for larger parties. Privacy and a charming garden. Outbuildings, woodland, endless walks, horses and chickens in the driveway, and wonderful views.
