About this property
The Old Forge, Llandeilo
The Old Forge is an idyllic rural retreat on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, overlooking Dinefwr Castle in the Towy valley. Set on a quiet country lane on what was an old farm, it has been lovingly converted from an old blacksmith's forge. For those wanting to get away from it all, The Old Forge is a haven of comfort, character and charm beneath its impressive vaulted, beamed ceiling.
The Old Forge is a perfect base for walking, cycling and sightseeing. The picture-perfect town of Llandeilo is only 4 miles away, with its galleries, boutique shops and fantastic eateries. Visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales, British Bird of Prey Centre, the National Wetlands Centre and Aberglasney Gardens. Walk the Brecon Beacons, the Carmarthen Fans and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is only an hour away. Cycle the Millennium Coastal Park and mountain bike in the Brechfa Forest; visit the amazing castles of the Towy Valley and follow in the footsteps of Dylan Thomas in Laugharne.
The warmest of welcomes awaits you at The Old Forge, with tea, coffee, milk and fresh homemade flapjacks on your arrival.
