As seen on Channel 4 with Sarah Beeny! Plas-yn-Llan Barn is a beautiful Grade II Listed stone building and was once a Shippon belonging to the neighbouring estate. The barn is now a wonderful character home with exceptional countryside views.
Cilcain is an area of outstanding natural beauty on the doorstep of the National Park. It has a superb village pub with children's park, The White Horse Inn, and a local village store/cafe where you will find plenty of traditional Welsh treats.
The accommodation which comfortably sleeps 10 spreads over approximately 2,300 sq ft over two floors. To the ground floor is a striking galleried and vaulted ceiling lounge with sumptuous seating around the television. The glazed porch offers the perfect view out to the stunning landscapes that surround this idyllic spot. Steps lead down to a dining area to one end and a snug/pool table area at the other. Also to the ground floor is a generous-sized kitchen and utility room.
Attached to the principal barn, with private entrance if needed, is a spacious studio room ideal for families. With a king bed, two single sofa beds, kitchenette, and en-suite it offers a stunning view of Moel Fammau from the stable door.
To the first floor are one double, and one king bedroom, with a family bathroom served by the principal staircase. At the opposite end of the barn with a private staircase is a third double bedroom with spacious en-suite.
Outside you can sit and relax on the picnic bench seating and plan your adventures for the following day. With endless options of footpaths, cycling routes, mountains, and visitor attractions to explore, you will likely need to plan your return to Plas Yn Llan to cover it all!
Dogs are welcome to stay with a charge of £30 per dog per stay. Two dog baskets are provided for convenience. Please do not allow dogs on the furniture and they must remain on the ground floor.
Children and infants are welcome to stay using existing beds and we can provide one travel cot that can be accommodated in the studio. Please note, we do not have stair-gates.
Bikes can be washed upon return from your day out, and we can offer you secure storage.
Guests will have the entire property for their private use. There are currently quiet landscaping works underway at the property and for your safety and privacy we have placed screened fencing to separate the space.
A hair dryer is provided in each bathroom.
Free wi-fi.
Very efficient underfloor heating keeps the barn cosy all year round.

About the host
Hosted by Katy Kilshaw
Having grown up in the neighbouring village of Pantymwyn, I am still in love with the area and was thrilled to be asked to host Plas Yn Llan Barn on behalf of my brother, Paul.
It is my intention to ensure all guests have a 5* stay, and I always respond to queries and resolve issues as promptly as possible.
