This place is amazing. None of us wanted to leave, especially once the cows arrived! It is a little ways outside of town, but very easy to get places. Very quiet, very clean, has everything you need, including bread, milk, and eggs! The water pressure was really nice and everything worked well! You can tell that they owners put lot of thought and consideration into the lodges. The property is really nice too, with ponds and chickens. The hostess is very responsive and helped us get discounted admission to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge, both of which are worth seeing (especially the animal park at Longleat). It's a short drive from Stonehenge and Salisbury and very easy to get to and to find. A very short drive to Asda and into town. We all loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again.
This is a gem of a find! A perfect holiday retreat in the countryside but still close to lots nearby. Myself and a group of friends (around 25-35) booked this lodge for a weekend away to play board games and visit Bath and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. Check-in was quick and easy, the lodge was very clean and well presented, and there was even fresh eggs, bread, milk and butter ready for us to use. The information book provided is extensive too, providing details on all the local amenities, how to work the heating etc., and some great restaurant/takeaway recommendations. As Nunney is the end lodge it was perfect - we had a beautiful view out over the field, a large grass area perfect for lawn games, and as it is west facing there were beautiful sunsets every night. We became best friends with their chickens who love to be fed fruit and vegetables and there was also a whole host of wild birds and animals to look out for. Sally and Steve left us to it but they were so kind and welcoming we could have gone to them easily if we had any issues. Overall a fantastic weekend and we’ll most certainly be back to stay again!
Wonderful property, everything really well thought out and comfortable. Excellent for children as safe and secure. Lovely touch with milk and eggs etc. would definitely recommended & return
