About this property

Beautiful Sonoma Estate Overlooking Vineyards with Pool

Drive past ponds and vines to arrive at this comfortable home nestled onto a 10+ acre parcel close to downtown Sonoma.

The home features lovely touches such as a newly remodeled kitchen and dining area, distressed fir flooring and a cobblestone fireplace. Enjoy the property and views of the western hills from the expanded front deck or relax on the back deck with a hot tub and BBQ. There is a lovely pool area beyond mature trees, gardens and a bocce court. There are 6 bedrooms, including 2 master bedrooms with king-size beds (other bedrooms: 1 w/ a queen, 1 w/ a double & 1 w/ a twin daybed with a pull-out twin) and a guesthouse that has a bathroom and a king-sized bed.

While we do not have central AC, we recently added a full house fan and have standing fans in all bedrooms. We also have blackout blinds upstairs and a great breeze from being at the top of the hill.

We have three recently installed Tesla Powerwall batteries that are fueled by our solar panels to ensure that the house still has electricity if the area looses power.

The organic Cabernet vineyard consists of approximately 3,000 vines and is sold for estate vintages. This private property is a wonderful country home surrounded by other fine country estates.

Nice stay in Sonoma

We were a group of 11 people from Iceland on a wine tasting tour in Napa and Sonoma. Nice house and nice outdoor swimming pool area. Two people were staying in the outhouse which was fine. We can recommend this house for a group of 11 people like ours, although 2 rooms and beds are rather small.

A great family house

This house is perfect for a large family gathering. It’s very homey with loads of indoor and outdoor spaces. My family loved it. Just a note, this is not a house for folks who have problems with stairs, it has a lot of them. We knew that ahead of time and managed to work around most of the problems. The one bedroom guest house is adorable and the 4 bedrooms in the main house are very comfortable. The beautiful location with the vineyards unbelievable!

Fabulous Sonoma Stay

Our group of 11 tremendously enjoyed our stay at this Sonoma estate. The proximity to Sonoma Square and the many wineries was perfect. The grounds (10 acres) of this properly was beautiful, we especially enjoyed our access to the garden and the bountiful strawberries and vegetables. The vineyard on property is stunning. We also enjoyed afternoons at the heated pool, as the weather was great just for that. The kitchen was also well stocked with plenty of dishes and grilling accessories. We cooked several dinners in, but also enjoyed the many great restaurants nearby. The bedrooms were nice and we were all comfortable. We appreciated the Pack and Play on site for our little one! The instruction packet at the house was perfect and allowed us to navigate the property as well as our check out process. Mara was very responsive and communicated with us in a timely fashion. The only thing I'd suggest is to trim the tree leaning on the cottage - as it is rubbing against the building and makes a weird sound at night if it's windy! Overall - a fabulous stay at a beautiful property!

Beautiful place with an ace team

The property was incredible and the home, lovely. The team of people in place to assist could not have been better. When I arrived, they happened to be there and helped me in with all of my luggage and items. What a great place to spend a week. While it’s on a mountain, it’s conveniently located and the drive is beautiful.

Great vacation

We had a great time with our group. The pool was a great temperature and the kids spent hours in the water every day. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax both inside and outside. We enjoyed walking around the property and taking quick trips into Sonoma. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to return for future vacations.

Amazing Long Weekend

We spent 4 nights here with two other families (9 people total) and had a delightful time. The house is beautiful, clean, and well-stocked with necessities. The beds are comfortable, and there's plenty of space to spread out in the house. There's ample outdoor seating and the grounds are perfect for exploring and playing with the kids. The pool is fantastic. We lounged around and swam, while the kids splashed and played all day. The owner was friendly and responsive to questions. We hope to visit again!

Beautiful secluded property, conveniently located

We spent a long weekend here celebrating a birthday. The property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The house is spacious and provided plenty of room for eight of us in comfortable beds. The property is secluded but conveniently close to Sonoma Plaza and surrounding attractions. We would definitely love to come back when we have fewer activities planned and more time to spend on the property.

Gorgeous property with so much to do!

We just spent our third year in a row as a large family of 6 adults and three kids, playing bocci, swimming, playing ping pong, chasing lizards, picking blackberries and playing catch in front yard. We were never on top of each other, there are plenty of bathrooms, two big master suites and couple of play areas for kids indoors. A real treat to stay a this house!

Great Place for a Family Vacation

We loved this place! The reason for renting it for a 3 day weekend was a family wedding. The location was perfect. The town square, restaurants and grocery stores are a short drive away. The Friday night welcome reception held at Jacuzzi Family Winery and the Saturday night wedding held at Tyge William Winery were 15-20 minute drives away. Among the many things we loved about the house is the totally private feeling even though it's so close to "civilization." Other things to love include comfortable and well-supplied bedrooms and bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen (equipment and cooking staple-wise), plenty of common spaces in which to spread out, morning walks around the grounds abounding with bird, jack rabbit and lizard sightings, afternoons around the pool and late nights around the hot tub. And can't neglect to mention the cottage. It's adorable. One of the couples in our group opted to stay in it and found it to be just as comfortable as the main house. As we were scurrying to clean up and check out on Sunday morning we were talking about when we might be able to return to this very property when we don't have wedding festivities taking up a lot of time. We hope it is soon and intend to spend a lot more time just hanging out and enjoying the home and surroundings next time around.

This home is beautiful! I really think the pictures do not do it justice. The house has a great floor plan, the kitchen is actually right next to the living room and dining room, even though the pictures make it look like it is broken up. It is brighter, more comfortable and higher quality than the pictures make it look. The beds were SUPER comfortable with soft sheets, great pillows and lots of warm bedding if needed! It was very comfortable for a large group and fully equipped with everything you would need. The pool is right by the house with a beautiful garden setting. The owner was very responsive and helpful and provided all the information needed. We would absolutely stay here again!

This house has plenty of space, good features (jacuzzi, grill, bocce court, games, fireplace) and the owners provide small creature comforts for the kitchen and bedrooms. Only about 8-10 minutes from town, but in a remote setting with great sunsets.
