North Conway is packed with activities for all ages and all seasons. Check out some of our favorite places to visit.
Diana’s Baths (Walking Distance)- A must see if you are in the North Conway area and want to experience nature at its finest...and this gem is right in our backyard! You can follow a short path marked in red right behind our unit that will lead you right to the path to Diana's Bath. During the summer the baths are a great place for children and grown-ups alike to enjoy the tranquility of nature, and explore the many rocks, ledges, cascading falls and pools in the brook. There are also several additional hiking trails to explore past Diana’s Baths.
Story Land (10-15 minute drive)- A popular family amusement park offering rides and entertainment to everyone. Watch fairy tales come to life here!
Echo Lake (Less than 5 minute drive)- A great place to take the family for a swim and picnic. A scenic trail around the lake provides great views of sheer, 700-foot Cathedral Ledge which towers over the lake.
Cathedral Ledge and White Horse Ledge (Less than 5 minute drive)- A mile-long auto road and a variety of hiking trails lead to the top of Cathedral Ledge where views across the Saco River Valley to the White Mountains can be enjoyed. Both Cathedral and nearby White Horse ledges are popular rock and ice climbing walls.
Cranmore Mountain (5 minute drive)- Perfect for winter skiing and snowboarding and jam packed with summer activities such as their famous Mountain Coaster, an Aerial Ropes Course, bouncy houses, Knocker Ball, a scenic chairlift ride to the top of the mountain and more.
Attitash Mountain (10-15 minute drive)- Another local mountain perfect for winter skiing and snowboarding and also jam packed with summer activities such as their famous Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, Zipline Tour and more.
Saco River (Less than 5 minute drive)- Canoe, Kayak, Tube, or PaddleBoard down this wide and gentle flowing river which has areas of sandy beaches, rope swings and woodlands.
North Conway Downtown (5 minute drive)- Something for everyone! Lots of restaurants, specialty and novelty shops (including Zeb’s...our favorite candy store!), a playground and more.
Settlers’ Green Outlet Village (10 minute drive)- Tax Free Outlet shopping!
Lower Falls (15 minute drive)- One of the most popular stops on the Kancamagus Highway. Great for swimming and rock jumping, but the water can be dangerous if the water is rushing fast.
Emerald Pool (35 minute drive)- A gorgeous swimming hole that is home to a 10-15 foot jump off a large rock into 10-15 feet of water. You will need to take a 15 minute or so hike on Baldface Circle Trail to get there, but it is worth the walk.
Wildcat Mountain (25 minute drive)- Winter skiing and snowboarding and summer scenic gondola rides, ziplines, Alpine Disc Golf, hikes and waterfalls.
Mt. Washington (25 minute drive)- Drive up Mt. Washington Auto Road, enjoy a train ride on Mt. Washington’s Cog Railway or dare to hike to the top of the Northeast’s highest peak!
Loon Mountain (45-60 minute drive)- Great skiing and snowboarding in the winter. In the summer, enjoy bungee trampolines, a variety of rock walls, a giant zip-line, an Aerial Ropes course, biking, a giant log maze, bouncy houses, a gondola ride to the top of the mountain, summit caves to explore and more.
Santa’s Village (45-60 minute drive)- New Hampshire’s famous Christmas theme park. Bring the kids to meet Santa at any time of the year, ride a variety of rides or visit their water park. Fun for the whole family!
Whale’s Tale (45 minute drive)- A blast for water slide lovers.

About the host
Hosted by Michelle Blanchette
Our family lives in Rhode Island and has been visiting the North Conway area for many years. We began taking vacations in this area with our twins when they were just 3 years old. We took full advantage of theme parks such as Story Land and Santa's Village when the kids were small. As the kids started to grow (all too quickly) we discovered that North Conway grew right along with us. Our kids are now older and love hiking, tubing the Saco River, soaring through the trees while working through obstacles in the trees and zip-lining. While staying in our favorite Near Ledge condo this past summer, a unit unexpectedly went up for sale so we jumped on the opportunity to purchase a home in the area where we have built so many memories with our kids. We do still live in Rhode Island, so when we are not enjoying our new home and all the area has to offer, we'd love to give others the opportunity to visit and make memories with their families.
Why they chose this property
This property is a perfect vacation spot for any family that loves the mountains. We are located only 5 minutes from downtown North Conway, but our backyard abuts the privacy and beauty of the White Mountain National Forest. The screened in porch and deck look out over the forest and are a cozy place to relax and curl up with a good book and that perfect cup of coffee or tea.
What makes this property unique
One unique benefit of this property is how it's backyard abuts the White Mountain National Forest. When you stay in this condo, you can walk along a short path right through our backyard to the path of popular Diana's Bath. This allows you to enjoy the beauty of these waterfalls while avoiding the often busy parking lot and shuttle. If you love to hike, you can walk past Diana's Bath and follow Red Ridge and Moat Mountain Trails for a gorgeous 10.2 mile loop hike...all right from our backdoor!
