Over all, we had a great time.

Over all, we had a great time. One of the en suite toilets didn't flush, and a cafetiere for coffee would have been appreciated. Lovely place for a family get together. Thank you

The farmhouse is furnished to a good standard and we were very comfortable.

The farmhouse is furnished to a good standard and we were very comfortable. Outside the views are superb and every bedroom has an amazing view. Dog owners must note that it's a busy working sheep farm so your dog has to be on a lead at all times when outside, there are no enclosed areas. It's in a good location off the A66 close to Threlkeld and Keswick with lots of walks available right from the doorstep.

On the positive, there is plenty of car parking, the cottage is well provisioned, most beds comfortable and good linen on the beds. A lovely large dining table and comfortable lounge room seating makes socialising easy and pleasant. A great location for getting to Keswick (the Theatre on the Lake is worth a visit) and for accessing lovely walks. We did not get any instructions on checking in and had to phone VRBO to ask. Plus the post code and location pin for the property on the website was not correct. Directions very poor. It was only our luck finding a local that we eventually got the correct address. Then when we arrived we found the building was actually in the middle of a camp site. The campers and tents were not intrusive, but unexpected.A previous reviewer mentioned a cafetière was not provided, so do take your own if you like decent coffee. The plumbing could do with some attention and there is no hand basin in the downstairs toilet or adjacent utility room.A towel rail or hooks in one of the ensuite bathrooms would be useful.
