Recline and unwind on the window seat in the kitchen, as you watch the sheep graze, or take a picnic and spend the evening watching the sunset over the fell just behind the barn.
Canny Grouse Barn welcomes guests into the spacious hallway, which leads to the impressive open-plan living showcasing exposed stonework and beamed ceiling. The ground floor bedroom features an adjustable electric super-king size bed (that can be converted into twin beds on request), a wheelchair accessible dressing table, and low level hanging space. Expertly designed, the wet room features two sinks of differing heights for electric or manual wheelchair users, a raised WC, and grab rails. Each of these rooms have widened doorways to accommodate wheelchair users. The kitchen has movable units for under worktop access to the hob and sink area, allowing ample room. From here, bi-fold doors enable smooth, direct access out onto the enclosed patio seating area. The ground floor accommodation and its surroundings have been curated with wheelchair users in mind, providing a reassuring and relaxing stay in a tranquil setting.
Upstairs on the first floor, two further bedrooms (a super-king which can be converted into twin beds on request and a king) with en suites are presented, and there is a snug for those seeking some quiet time. For the younger generation, there is an old style Xbox with games to enjoy.
Outside, there is a covered parking area, and a covered main entrance. A dog wash and cleaning area with hot and cold running water is great for rinsing off walking boots and bikes. Secure bike storage with electric sockets is available.
