The location is beautiful and the views are stunning but the house itself was really dirty we spent the first 3 days cleaning and washing everything we needed to use including bed linen and bath towels even the washing machine needed cleaning before we could use it witch added a lot of stress to what was meant to be a relaxing holiday
We wanted to relax and this cottage was perfect. The beach is 30 seconds walk, the view is breathtaking. We relaxed, played games, read, talked around the open fire, swam, walked and just chilled. No tv, no screens (although there is Wi-Fi), we detached from the phones and iPads and let our brains breathe. Will be booking again for next year or maybe even during winter. Tony and John were so helpful yet respectful of our privacy. Can not fault the cottage or the area. Loved every minute.

Before booking there are a couple of things folks need to be aware of. The driveway up to the place is terrible. Its a 0.5 mile sand track and is full off deep holes 3 mph max. Its not the cleanest place with spiders webs and mould (they charge 70 for cleaning) dont know why.On the plus side. Youre right on the beach and the cottage gives you a great sense of old world living.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
This is an old beach house with a certain rustic charm. The garden, view and location is stunning. The house itself needs work done on it. The gas stove has a very low flame making it difficult to cook on it. We did change the gas bottle but it didn't help. We ended up using our camping stove. The shower hose fell off the shower and the plug was blocked until we removed a lot of hair. The description of the rooms is not accurate. There are 3 rooms with double beds, one with a single and one with a bunkbed in it that you access from one of the double rooms. Communication with the owner, Tony, wasn't great - he replied to one of my messages, but not the rest. John and Julia, who met us when we arrived, were very friendly and helpful. The house is cluttered and really needs cleared out and painted inside. If you have high housekeeping standards it probably won't suit. We had glorious weather so we were outside most of the time. There is a lovely open fire and wood was provided, which was good.

Hi
I will get the cooker problem addressed, wasn't aware of it.
The house is listed as sleeping 8 but I let 12 of you come even though I explained there was one bathroom. Maybe over use was the issue there. To say I replied to 1 of your messages is simply untrue, we were in touch several times. The house is described accurately & there are plenty of photos & a video. The people who were staying before you have already reserved for next year. Maybe somewhere more modern & soulless would suit you better
