2 bed wing ON the beach in historic building. Quaint level seaside village.
This unique wing in an iconic building is close to everything in the estuary village of Shaldon, Devon. You can easily walk to the local eateries and beach. It is in a Grade ll listed property which is divided into 5 properties. It benefits from its own private courtyard entrance, a spacious entrance hallway and cloakroom, leading on to a large kitchen/dining room. Walk through to a superb sitting room with another sunny and secluded courtyard and a bay window with stunning views of the river and towards Dartmoor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms: one king and one twin as well as a modern bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. Gorgeous river views from the main bedroom. The property is literally on river beach.
Rare free village parking inside a garage is included. To give an idea of size, VW Touran and Honda CR-V cars fit, but larger SUV's may not.
The Local Area Shaldon is an exclusive Devonshire village at the mouth of the river Teign with views of the moors, river and open sea. It has two beautiful beaches, one accessed in the centre of the village and the other through old smugglers’ tunnels of The Ness which is the imposing red sandstone headland that shelters the village and provides a warm microclimate.. Chocolate box cottages, period and modern homes in narrow streets lie behind the main road through the village where you’ll find: several cafes, a selection of pubs, great restaurants, a popular village bakery and butchers as well as a convenience store for essentials, a post office and pharmacy alongside beauty salons, gift shops and a fish and chip shop. Shaldon provides an ever-changing array of activities to either participate in or spectate.

Thank you for leaving a lovely review. We’re really pleased that you had a lovely stay and hope you visit again soon. Thank you for being great guests.
The house is very spectacular with a perfect riverside/estuarial position. We were able to walk across the bridge to Teignmouth where trains can be accessed for local and long- distance journeys and go for walks in the nearby woods. A few pubs and shops, chippy and bakery in the village so no need to drive to get basic provisions. Well recommended for a peaceful break with lovely views and fresh air.
