Mews seaside house with integral garage and EV charger
The Mews are located just a few minutes walk to the sea, local shops and restaurants. This lovely property is located in the quaint south Devon fishing village of Shaldon with its narrow streets and old fashioned charm. Driving and parking in the village is a real problem so the integral garage and installed EV charger is a big plus.
Kids love our beaches and we provide buckets and spades, crabbing lines and other beach paraphernalia.
For small village there is a lot going on including an internationally acclaimed music festival in usually in June - the 2025 festival included the grammy nominated internationally acclaimed capella octet VOCE8 and the remarkable young muscian of the year winner finalist Martin Bartlet. The water carnival and regatta have variable dates in the summer and in November there is the themed bonfire on the beach, last year theme was pirates of the Caribbean and a pirate ship was built and burnt.
There is an ferry from Shaldon across the estuary to Teignmouth where boat, fishing and other watersports activities can be found. Whilst just a few miles away the splendor of Dartmoor with its rocky Tors and rushing streams can be found. Also on the doorstep is the Riveria of the South - Torquay.
Walkers will love or hate the SW coast path from Torquay to Shalson it is one of the toughest in the whole 630 miles. Good food and great pubs are hidden away but ask your host for the local secrets.

It was great for us and the ownerthought of everything you need to self cater. The garage wasa great bonus too in Shaldon. Loved i would definitely book again.
Good accommodation for a couple. We had one small hiccup but Barrie sorted it out quickly. Perfect location for a short break and a bonus having the off street parking.
Very welcoming host who helped with any queries we had. Well placed for visiting Shaldon . The garage is a definite plus.

Caroline and David were lovely to meet. They looked after the Mews perfectly and followed all our rules.
They would be welcome anytime should they wish to return and next time I hope it will be a little cooler for them.
A cosy cottage in a great location in the village. Some thoughtful extras left by the owner - including a Christmas tree and some mince pies.

My Wife and I are retired after raising a family in leavy Surrey. Lynda was a teacher and I ran a succesful entreneurial business after a career as a director of a major Plc.
Why they chose this property
Shaldon is almost exactly half way between 5 of our grandchildren. 2 in Exeter and 3 in Biuckfast. Having lived in the depths of Surrey we love being villagers, We were struck when we first visited by the smiles and hellos and being a small village we know all the shop keepers. It's rare to walk into the village without meeting several people we know.
What makes this property unique
From many guest comments the big bonus is the integral garage and we are finding the EV charger is also becoming a significant draw. Also Shaldon retains a small village charm unlike the resorts of Torquay and Teignmouth close by
