About this property
The Great Escape Ashwater
Nestled in an enviable location this single-storey lodge provides a perfect blend of rural beauty and offers easy access to the rugged coastlines of Cornwall and Devon. The surrounding area is rich with picturesque villages and lively attractions, including walking trails in amongst wildlife at Dartmoor National Park (14 miles) and Roadford Reservoir (4 miles), where you’ll find a wide choice of active adventures. Conveniently located near the A30, the property provides easy access to popular spots across Devon and Cornwall. The coastal town of Bude (20 miles), boasts three sandy beaches, local shops, and fine eateries. Nearby attractions include the cobbled streets of Clovelly, the turquoise waters of Widemouth Bay, and the historic tails of King Arthur at the picture-postcard Tintagel, all within 25 miles of this beautiful getaway.
Upon arrival you enter the kitchen which has everything you need to cater for your stay. Underfloor heating throughout makes for toasty evenings in. The comfortable lounge diner is to your left, this is a sociable space for all the family and there is a Smart TV and DVD plus a DAB radio and a selection of books/games/puzzles to enjoy and along with the table and chairs which make mealtimes a breeze and great for planning your next adventure. Patio doors open out from the lounge diner onto the decked balcony with seating and views across rolling countryside. When the night draws in, retire to one of two bedrooms, one double room with en-suite shower room and WC, and a twin room. The family shower room completes the accommodation.
Stepping outside from either the lounge or the kitchen will bring you to the decked balcony area with rattan corner sofa and cushions, an ideal space to chill and read or just watch the sunset whilst enjoying your favourite tipple. A large lawn area surrounds the lodge and there is a dog paddock allowing your four-legged friend to be exercised off lead.
