Clauchrie Cottage by Get Better Getaways, is nestled amidst the idyllic countryside of Wigtown, in Dumfries and Galloway. Its positioned on a private road. It is family-friendly, pet-friendly and is also ideal for groups to enjoy reunions and special times together with its games rooms and scenic views in its private garden and fire-pit. Biking trips, walking holidays, fishing trips all welcome. This is the perfect affordable getaway. Wigtown is known for its famous bookstores and book festival. Book direct for best deal. Please note we charge £20 per dog per stay, (Max 3 dogs unless discussed otherwise). We offer optional use of the outside spa area: Large hot tubs and sauna for an additional £100 for short stays and £150pw. Guests must confirm if wanting this booked prior to arrival.
The Space:
On entry to the cottage there is access to a garage and a porch. As you enter the house you are greeted by a spacious lounge area which offers ample seating, ideal for cozy evenings spent in conversation or indulging in board games.The heart of the cottage lies in its expansive games room, perfect for hosting gatherings of friends and families alike.
The lower level also offers a guest bedroom with a king-sized bed and a shower room off the hall. The sage kitchen is perfect to make those special celebratory meals and meet all culinary needs. The living room offers plenty of seating with one of the couches turning into a sofa bed for an additional bed.
The upper level has 4 bedrooms consisting of the master bedroom with one super king size bed, a bedroom for 2 with single bunks, another beautiful room with a king size bed and a smaller room with 2 single beds. The main bathroom is also on the upper floor.
