Small appliances such as a coffee pot and toaster are available, as well as a generous number of other items to ensure you have everything you need to prepare and enjoy a meal, such as pots, pans, bakeware, serving utensils, plates, cups, eating utensils, etc. The living room has enough seating for everyone with a couch (which is a sleeper sofa that can accommodate extra guests), loveseat and a recliner. For those chilly nights in the mountains, guests can enjoy the propane fireplace. There is a flat-screen television with Dish Network and WiFi, as well.
There is a spacious, full bathroom with a commode, sink, and bathtub/shower combination. There are two bedrooms, each bedroom has a window looking out at the woods behind the cabin, a queen-sized bed and generous closet.

This was a beautiful stay! The place was clean and the host was very friendly and accomidating. Close to all the "elk viewing" areas. Will definitely come back again.
The property was exactly as advertised and perfect for what we needed. It was close to the Elk Visitor Center and other parks that we wanted to visit. We would stay at this location again.
Elk Haven Lodge was a very nice place to stay. It was definitely a very good location. The cottage was comfortable and decently clean, the carpets need cleaning. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided a lot of information related to the property and the surrounding area.
The cabin was very clean, roomy and had all the things we needed. The location is Amazing because you feel like you're out in the woods, but you are still so close to all the Elk spots and "downtown" Benezette. We will definitely be booking this cabin again. We got to see 3 Bulls, 30 cows, 1 buck, 40 doe and a Bobcat sitting at the edge of a creek/river.
Enjoyed our stay, place was clean, and close to everything you need

About the host
Hosted by Bryan Lukehart & Jennifer Helman
An unlikely pair, Bryan grew up in Marion Center, Pennsylvania where he was raised on the family farm, tending to fields, and hunting and fishing when he got the chance; Jennifer grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, and when she came to Indiana County, PA to attend IUP, she fell in love with the outdoors and never left the area.
Bryan's family has a camp on Wolf Lick, and since he was a child, Bryan grew up fishing the streams in Elk Country, and hunting bear and whitetail deer in the abundant State Game and Forest Lands. Needless to say, Bryan's roots as an outdoorsman run deep, and still today, he is an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper.
Almost a decade ago, Jennifer was introduced to Elk Country by Bryan's dad, Ed, and the two have put on countless miles photographing elk and sightseeing. Despite growing up in the city, Jennifer developed a deep love for the outdoors, she is an avid trail runner and hiker, and also likes to hunt and fish.
What makes this property unique
The town of Benezette is largely enveloped by Elk State Forest and reclaimed land that has been developed by the DCNR, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and other organizations to create a habitat for the majestic Pennsylvania elk herd. Naturally, there is not a large amount of private land in and around Benezette.
Needless to say, we were ecstatic when we were able to buy a cabin with 6 acres right in the heart of elk country! After a couple months of updates, it was ready to welcome tenants who could appreciate the undeveloped land right outside the door.
Our greatest hope is that people will love having local attractions and restaurants close by, while still getting a “cabin in the mountains” experience!
