Poor Communication and Bad Experience
The unit looked great online, and location was good, but unfortunately we had many issues with staying at Kind David Suites. To start, communication with Madeira Sun was terrible. I had to message them several times to get any type of response. The worst being at check-in. They did not send us the check-in instructions and I asked several times. We had to stand outside the unit for 30 minutes after 4pm (check-in time) waiting for instructions. When we got in the unit we saw that there was no electricity in the kitchen. The fridge, stove and microwave had no power during the full 3 days of our stay. I messaged Madeira Sun and they were slow to respond, said they would send someone and never did. We had bought groceries and had to throw away everything that needed to be refrigerated as it went bad. The unit also has some really terrible smells. When you first walk in the upstairs is humid and smells moist. The downstairs bathroom smells like sewage. And the kitchen cupboards smell like dirty cloth. This made all the dishes smell like that so we had to wash them. The dishes were also dirty, with food left on them. Finally, the unit is very noisy from the street noise and the main foyer noise. The unit also has an elevator door in it, that doesn’t open, but you still hear it every time it is used in the building. When people talk in the elevator you hear every word. This happens at all hours of the night. Madeira Sun didnt offer to do anything about any of these issues.
