This was a great property for our stay in Bologna. It was clean, comfortable, and close to everything we wanted to see. Make sure you try the gelato place down the street. It has the best gelato in Italy!

Great location - bring earplugs!

The Good: The apartment is in a great location - safe neighborhood with many wonderful family run trattorias/caffes/bars/gelaterias within a few blocks. 12ish minute walk to the Piazza Maggiore and an easy taxi/bus to/from the train station. The bad: Street noise VERY loud in the main bedroom - buses, delivery trucks, motorcycles, talking all come through the thin windows as if you were outside. The second bedroom is much quieter, though still somewhat noisy. A combination of loud white noise and earplugs made it possible to sleep, but if you are a light sleeper you might consider finding somewhere else. Communication with the host was very difficult, with no reply/communication at all until 3 days before arrival. Also, while we were in the unit, communication was very delayed - we had no toilet paper on arrival and it took until the next day to have any reply/have some delivered (we had already purchased at a local store). The WiFi never worked while we were there - the router always indicating that it wasn’t connected to the internet. We never received any response to our message about that. The need to know: Entrance to the building is by calling an Italian phone number, so make sure you have cell service that allows for that without WiFi.
