Very close to the city center and to train station for day trip (Bologna-Rome: 2h 20min only!)

THE GATEWAY is very convenient to visit the old city by foot, and to purchase local gastronomy from the most characteristic city-markets, as the famous ‘Mercato di Mezzo’ and the market town of medieval origins.

How to get around from / to:

TRAIN STATION: <200 meters (5 min walking) or all bus solutions are around the corner (for heavy luggage only)

FROM / TO AIRPORT: <5 km or 30 minutes with Airbus (from train station stop)

-taxi: ab. € 25

BY CAR, 2 solutions:

- ‘Blue line’ parking areas around the building (and also in all Bologna) need a hourly-ticket to be paid in advanced on the small red machine, close to the blue line parking areas (ab. 2.5€/h from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM, free at night)

-Covered Parking available starting from 25€/day, at 100m from The Gateway

Antonio was very welcoming and super accommodating about our late arrival. He recommended lots of places in and around Bologna for us to visit. The apartment was well equipped and we appreciated the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Everything was clean and there was plenty of storage space. The walk into the city was short and we felt safe in the area.

Good location near to the station. An immaculately clean tidy and well equipped flat. Our host greeted uswhen we arrived and was very helpful. He was even able to be flexible about our arrival time. He provided us with useful information and maps and there were guide books for us to use. All together a very successful and comfortable stay.

Antonio was wonderful to communicate from start to finish. The apartment is beautiful and had everything and anything you might need in it. The location was fabulous and neighborhood lovely. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough!!! You will LOVE it.

Relaxing home away from home.

Very spacious for the three if us, easy walk from the train station and to the historic center. Friendly check-in process, nice kitchen, and small but usable laundry facilities. Perfect for us.

Great Apartment

Apartment was clean and comfy. The washer and dryer were a huge plus. We had three people stay here and had plenty of room. It is a 15-20 min walk to the center of Bologna but 5-10 mins from the main train and bus stations. Very convenient!

Felt like home

We received a warm welcome on arrival and loved the apartment. Great to come back to a large relaxing apartment after a day of walking around Bologna. Very close to the main train station and an easy walk into the centre of Bologna.

Very convenient location close to train station, but the surrounding area is a little sketchy. The is safe and very well appointed. Family very friendly. Restaurants close, more options about 10 to 15 minute walk away.

Perfect place to stay in Bologna

Met by lovely owners of apartment, immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you could need. Ten minute walk to centre and 5 minutes to the station. Would definitely recommend.

Light, bright and spotlessly clean

This is an amazing apartment and is only a 5min walk to the train station. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts met us and showed us around. Good sized rooms, a great kitchen, big TV, two good bathrooms and comfy beds. It's a 20-min walk into the centre of the city but it's easily accessible.

Perfect Place for Traveling

We chose this location and place based on the 5 start reviews and they were right. The apartment is beautiful and clean. Antonio's parents greet you at the arrival and explain how the place works. Antonio is responsive to text messages. The location is 5 minutes from the train station and convenient to do days trips. You can find everything nearby including restaurants, grocery store, historical buildings. Would stay there again.
