Things I Wish I Knew Before Renting This Apartment: 1) 87 Steps to reach the apartment. I knew this was a top floor apartment, BUT 87 steps is definitely a hike. After a full day of sightseeing, that climb is no joke. Factor it in if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns.2) It's really a traditional 1-Bedroom, Not a 3 bedroom.The second "bedroom" is a low-ceiling loft where you crawl onto a floor mattress — no standing room whatsoever. The living room does have a comfortable pull-out sofa which can be closed off as a second bedroom. Privacy between sleeping areas is very limited.3) Communication Goes Off-Platform. The host moved all communication from VRBO to WhatsApp and another platform requiring a separate account. They were responsive for basics like supplies, but plan to use their preferred channels from the start.4) Ask About the Bathroom Plumbing. We arrived to an unrepaired, leaking pipe behind the toilet — wall and tile left open, a catch-bowl underneath, and a persistent smell. This went unresolved for our entire stay, and the host did not take any responsibility even after we left.5) The Bottom Line: The apartment is nicely renovated and the location is great. For 1–2 couples who go in with realistic expectations, it can work as an enjoyable Paris base — just confirm the plumbing has been fixed before you book.

Het appartement ligt op een mooie plek in de stad en op de bovenste verdieping van een apartementencomplex met 4-5 appartement. Toen wij er waren werden al deze appartementen verbouwd, dus we waren de enige in het pand. Het appartement ziet er netjes en verzorgd uit, met stijlvolle details, klassieke luiken maar verder strak en modern afgewerkt. De keuken is functioneel en op een paar kleine details (weinig kopjes en glazen, vaatwasser deed het niet perfect, en de koelkast lekte een beetje water) na niks op aan te merken. De tweepersoons bedden in de slaapkamer (2 volwassen), de vide (2 kinderen) en de tweepersoons slaapbank waren goed. De badkamer was ook goed, alhoewel ik niet zo houd va douchen in een bad. Voor mij (1m80) was de douche net goed op maximale hoogte maar ik kan mij voorstellen dat langere mensen de douche hoogte vervelend vinden. De communicatie bij incheck verliep heel goed, ze reageerden snel, beheersing van het Engels was uitstekend, maar toen we later nog wat vragen appten was de reactie laat/beperkt. Ik zou het appartement aanraden aan iedereen die een plek zoekt in Parijs. Vooral vanwege de wijk, de vele eetgelegenheden en de locatie in de stad. Verder is het appartement meer dan goed en als de verhuurder de laatste dingetjes fixt is het helemaal perfect.

Great location and the apartment was clean. It is an 4th floor walk up (5th floor if you’re American). Advertising it as a 2 bedroom is a bit of a stretch as the second one is a tiny loft without a door off the living room. Communication with the host/management company was pretty abysmal. I still don’t really know who was managing or who I was communicating with as I got multiple messages from different platforms and people (Aashi with check my guest, belvilla, Rom? On WhatsApp) throughout the whole ordeal. I tried calling a few times on the day of check in for more details about getting the key and no one answered. Luckily we found the key but never got more instructions, it was just there. I also requested a travel crib, which they told me was possible for 50 euro, then never brought one and acted like I had not requested one when I asked about it. Overall the place was fine but I would not book anything run by this company again.

Ein hübsches kleines Apartment in unmittelbarer Nähe zur U-Bahn und vielen Restaurants und Supermärkten. Nachts ist es sehr laut, da es direkt gegenüber dem Grand Rex liegt. Bessere Jalousien oder Rollos wären wünschenswert, um mehr Privatsphäre zu gewährleisten und die Lichtverschmutzung zu reduzieren. Insgesamt hat unserer Familie der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen!

Die Wohnung war sehr gut gelegen, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass sich das zweite Schlafzimmer auf einer Galerie über dem Wohnzimmer befindet und eine niedrige Decke hat. Die Matratze liegt auf dem Boden. Da es keine Doppelverglasung gibt, ist es nachts laut, weil die Wohnung direkt neben dem Grand Rex Kino liegt. Es gab ausreichend Warmwasser für zwei Personen in der Dusche; die dritte Person musste mit kaltem Wasser duschen. Die Schlüsselübergabe verlief reibungslos und ohne große Verzögerung. Wir erhielten klare und präzise Anweisungen, und die Kommunikation mit dem Mitarbeiter war ausgezeichnet.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Sehr Parisienne! Man muss Treppen steigen mögen. Es sind sehr lange Treppen bis zum vierten Stock! Außer einem selber wohnt niemand in diesem älteren Haus. Die anderen Wohnungen werden wohl gerade neu oder anders hergerichtet. Man ist mitten in einem sehr lebhaften Teil von Paris. Sehr jung, sehr modern, sehr viele köstliche Restaurants. Man kann sowohl den Louvre als auch den Montmartre, sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das ist wunderschön, hat aber auch den Nachteil, dass es nachts häufig sehr laut werden kann. Unbedingt Ohrenstöpsel mitnehmen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, wir hatten aber auch einen etwas günstigeren Preis, der wohl dem Monat Januar geschuldet ist. Mehr Geld würde ich nicht für diese Wohnung ausgeben. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist eine steile Treppe die nach oben vom Wohnzimmer abgeht. Dort ist die Decke unterteilt und eine Matratze liegt auf dem Boden darüber ist aber ein sehr schönes Schrägfenster eingebaut. Nur sollte man das wissen, wenn man ein eigenständiges zweites Schlafzimmer erwarten würde. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und die Betten sehr bequem! Ebenso die Überzüge der Betten und die Qualität der Handtücher.

Wir hatten das Apartment 43 Rue de la Lune vom 05.10. bis 11.10.2025 gebucht. Unser Flug hatte Verspätung. Ich rief Checkmyguest um 17 Uhr an, um mitzuteilen, dass wir auf dem Weg vom Flughafen zum Apartment waren und dass es einen Stau gab. Die Dame von Checkmyguest sagte mir, ich solle noch einmal anrufen, wenn ich 20 Minuten entfernt sei. Von 18 bis 21 Uhr habe ich etwa 30 Mal versucht, Checkmyguest zu erreichen, aber es war niemand zu sprechen. Wir mussten uns für eine Nacht eine andere Unterkunft suchen. Am nächsten Morgen konnten wir dann einchecken. Die Wohnung war in Ordnung, etwas spärlich ausgerüstet (z.B. nur 2 Kaffeetassen) und die 3 vorhandenen Pfannen waren alle unbrauchbar (stark zerkratzter Teflon-Belag, solche Pfannen sollte man nicht mehr verwenden da gesundheitsschädlich). Das Bidet war defekt (grosses Loch), der Kühlschrank verliert Wasser und das Türschloss hält nur noch an 2 Schrauben (nicht vertrauenswürdig). Das Gas-Alarmgerät hat einen niedrigen Batterie-Stand und hat deshalb alle 30 Sekunden gepiepst. Der Geschirrspüler war nicht Sauber (schmutziges Sieb) und wurde deshalb von uns nicht verwendet. Da wir die Wohnung nur 5 anstatt 6 Nächte benutzen konnten, erwarte ich die Rückerstattung der Kosten für 1 Nacht.
