Simple chalet in great location
We had a lovely stay at East Chalet. It’s large enough for a family of five or six, and has most amenities you’d need on a short break.
All the beds are singles unless you remember to specify otherwise, and they’re small singles - great for kids but on the small side for adults.
There are blinds in all the rooms but they leak a lot of light and fall down as they’re balanced on the rails. This would be an easy repair job.
We were so impressed by the staff at the farm itself - friendly, helpful and loads of info. But the accommodation staff weren’t incredibly helpful. A few repairs were needed to be done while we were there on things that were broken when we arrived (things are a bit tired in the chalet), but we were told these repairs were our fault. The arrival booklet asks guests to request extras of bin bags if you run out - we did this and were told as it’s self catering it’s not provided but on this occasion they’d let us off. These are small things, but when you’re paying a fair amount of money it’s a tad disappointing.
Never usually leave feedback, but thought some small tweaks could make all the difference to the next guest. Things like a toilet-roll holder, more pegs for towels for larger things party sizes and some better cooking equipment (eg a colander, a mixing bowl etc) would make a huge difference too.
