About this property
Bywell, Llangrannog - Three Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 6
Bywell is a beautiful cottage in the wonderful village of Llangrannog, Ceredigion, built c1890s. This is an ideal location for a memorable coastal getaway, only a two-minute walk from the beach. The spacious open-plan living-dining room is a great space to relax and unwind: curl up with a book in front of the log burner on a cosy autumn evening, and tuck into a hearty breakfast with loved ones at the dining table before a day exploring the local area.
Bywell is south-facing, so the property is awash with natural daylight, and the seating at the front of the property is a fantastic sun trap. The outhouse is an ideal place for storing sandy beach gear.
Llangrannog is home to a gorgeous Blue Flag sandy beach, ideal for families, bodyboarders and surfers. Look out for dolphins and seals, often seen in the sea here. At low tide, walk across the beach to the hidden beach of Cilborth or via steep steps on the coast path. Take a walk along the magnificent Ceredigion Coast Path to the nearby beaches of Penbryn, Cwmtydu, Aberporth and Tresaith, where you can enjoy unforgettable views.
There are plenty of great places to enjoy a meal if you feel like treating yourself and don't want to cook, including a pub, two cafes, a fish and chip shop and an amazing woodfired pizza takeaway in the village, and plenty of choices nearby in other villages such as Aberporth and Tresaith. Many of these pubs are only yards from the beach and offer a fantastic place to watch the most picturesque sunset.
