Monica was so gracious and welcoming. She arranged our airport pickup and drop offs, helped us find laundry services, recommended good gluten-free restaurants, and was available to assist with any other questions we had. The apartment was lovely- it felt like we were staying in a historic Italian space!
It was a beautiful place.... everything about it was stunning and then to layer the history of the home on top was the 'cherry on top'. The property was very clean, beautifully laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. The area was safe and was perfectly located for everything we wanted.
This is an amazing place, in a perfect location to visit central Rome on foot. All the main sights are within easy walking distance, and the palace itself has Roman antiquities to view as you walk up the stairs.Monica could not have been more welcoming, or helpful, and the apartment is beautiful, spacious, and historic. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
We loved our stay! Monica and Marco were so kind to us and very communicative. Monica even helped us with transfers to the airport and train stations. We loved the place and how beautiful it was - also it was so convenient to everything. I would love to stay here again! It was magical! Oh and the back garden?? Wow.
Stunning!! Having the opportunity to enjoy this amazing culturally historic property truly made us feel blessed. Besides feeling as you are in a museum, the property is so well appointed. The location is fantastic with all the amenities anyone could need within the vicinity. Marco & Monica made our stay so special with their graciousness & hospitality! Could not possibly recommend it higher than I am describing. Until next time!
We were so excited to stay at this unique property and it EXCEEDED our expectations. Not only is the property quite large for European standards but it is beautiful, upscale and very comfortable. The host was super responsive to all of our questions/requests. The neighborhood is quiet with a great bakery, restaurants and gelato shop just around the corner. We also found some nice shops in walking distance. You are still close enough to the popular sites but not in the hustle and bustle of tourists. We will definitely be back!!!!!
Wow, wow, wow! We had an incredible stay at Palazzo Podocataro! The palazzo is stunning. The kitchen was beautiful, the frescos so historic, and the entire place just perfect. We couldn't believe we were lucky enough to stay here. Monica was a wonderful host, so responsive and helpful. She even offered to book us transfers from the Rome Termini train station and then to the airport. The neighborhood was so centrally located, yet away from the intense summer tourist crowds. The street is beautiful and we want to come back!
Out stay at this gorgeous palazzo apartment was perfect! Monica was incredibly responsive, professional, and kind. The place is even more beautiful than the photos. The secret garden terrace is accessible from the bedroom and kitchen and was lovely even in February, the art and architecture are stunning, and the location is walkable to the major sites. The apartment itself and the building are peaceful and very quiet, but just pop out the (old, gorgeous, secure) front door of the courtyard and you're on an adorable street, and steps from shopping, markets, and delicious dining. Clean, well appointed, plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets are provided making our stay very comfortable. My entire family could not have been happier with our stay!
Our family of four stayed at this remarkable palazzo in Rome, and it exceeded every expectation. The palazzo itself dates from the 15th century, and you feel the weight of history the moment you step inside. Original frescoes adorn the walls in the living room with a soaring coffered hand-painted ceiling, and the grand piano adds to the aristocratic atmosphere. We learned that Cardinals once resided in these very rooms. A pleasant private garden space, which all the rooms have windows overlooking, provides a peaceful oasis in the heart of Rome. The location is tucked away enough to feel like our own private Roman residence. It's a 5-minute walk to many restaurants, a taxi stand, grocery store, and patisserie. We could walk to most attractions, yet return to the peaceful elegance of our historic home. The staff treated us like welcomed guests, taking care that our stay was memorable. For families considering this property: with 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, plus a fully equipped high-end kitchen, it's spacious enough for everyone to have their own space, yet the main common area was perfect for gathering. We stayed in mid-August and the temperature in the apartment was comfortable.Like the Old Cataract overlooking Elephantine Island, the apartment in the Loire Château, and the house we rented on the beach on the North Shore, there are some places that are truly memorable for different reasons. This Roman palazzo, with its own unique character, is now one of them.
