Nice apartment with rare additional bathroom that we really appreciated. Geographically a fantastic location near all the right stuff in Trastevere. Just keep in mind that there is some street noise (I'm super sensitive but did just fine with earplugs at night).
Property was as described and accurately described by previous reviews. Ear plugs recommended for sensitive sleepers. Otherwise great location. Everything within walking distance. Grocery store and delicious quick bite shops with croissants, gelato and sandwiches within steps from front door. We really enjoy our stay as a family of 4.
The flat was clean, check in/out was good. The apartment location was close to all the attractions. It is on a busy street with lots of activity/noise. It was difficult to sleep some evenings as the outside temperature prevented the cooling from operating. It was too noisy to open the windows. Keep this in mind if sleeping through the night is necessary.
This was the perfect place & location for our family to stay in Trastevere and explore Rome. The apartment is beautiful, bright, and clean. It’s ideal, Italian city living. It has everything you need, the kitchen is stocked with the necessities, the shopping, grocery, open air markets, restaurants, & coffee are just around the corner. Public transportation; metro, bus, taxi- all right there, but I recommend walking everywhere. It is the best way to see & experience living in Rome. Wander & get lost! I would highly recommend staying here.
The apartment was well appointed and the perfect place for our stay in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed the location in the beautiful, historic neighborhood of Trastevere, there is so much to see and do all within walking distance.
We did enjoy our stay, there were a few pros and cons you should know. Pros -Good location relative to Rome sites.-Plenty of supplied toilet paper (thanks!)-Some small shampoos and soaps to get you started.-Filippo! Our greeter was fantastic. He did a great job of orientating us in the apartment and taking care of the key handoff (no self check-in).Cons-While there was enough kitchen service pieces for our 4 person family, and there was the expected cookware, there were NO cooking tools. Trying to cook with table-ware was very frustrating.-Beds were ok comfort-wise.-No extra pillows or blankets. The pillows in the master were bricks.-Had some trouble with the cooktop. Largest burner would not stay lit. Possible user error, but I didn't have trouble with the other burners.-Had some trouble with the dryer. It kept turning off after 10-15 minutes. Again, possible user error, but I followed the instructions exactly.LastlyWhile the location was convenient to Rome sites, it was a bit louder than expected.-It seems there is a club on the first floor of the same building. Very loud late into the night.-It also appears that a favorite hanging spot for some unhoused is right outside the building door, just below our unit.-Also, along the Viale di Trastevere, there is a light rail system and stop. It runs at all hours and sounds like a jet plane. All of these noise sources were a bit more than we were used to. No one's fault of course, just trying to be informative.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting several aspects you appreciated, including the central location, the welcome amenities, and Filippo’s assistance at check-in.We would like to clarify a few points for accuracy and context. The apartment is located on Viale Trastevere, in the very heart of Rome and in a vibrant, well-known neighborhood. This is clearly stated in the listing, and typical city sounds including the tram line are part of the experience of staying in such a central urban area.
Regarding the kitchen, the apartment is equipped with standard cookware and utensils suitable for normal home cooking. Our perception does not align with the description of the kitchen being unusable, though we understand that individual cooking habits and expectations may vary.
Comfort-related comments, such as pillow firmness, are inherently subjective and may differ from guest to guest.
With respect to the dryer, no malfunction has been identified before or after the stay.
We would also like to correct an important inaccuracy: there is no club or nightlife venue located in the building. The property is a residential building inhabited by families, and this statement is incorrect.
Finally, the surrounding area reflects the reality of a lively, central city and a historic neighborhood, which naturally includes a wide range of people and daily activity.
We appreciate the overall balanced tone of the review.
We stayed for 8 days in late Oct/early Nov. I do not recommend this apartment, or stayinromeapartments ("SIRA"). 1. The VRBO.com website says the apartment has a microwave. There is no microwave. When I asked SIRA about it, they refused to take any responsibility. They said, "We will ask the owner what they want to do". I never heard back. 2. The listing says it is an elevator building. What they don't tell you is you have to go up half a flight of stairs (9 steps) to get to the elevator. 3. The apartment is very noisy, even with the windows closed. There is a major hospital down the street, and all day and night you can hear the siren of the ambulances. 4. When we checked in, we were told that both the air conditioning and heat were "not available". 5. The kitchen is inadequately supplied. 6. As part of the "pre check-in process", SIRA asks you to go to a third-party website and upload your passport and sign a rental agreement with the owner that is only in Italian. None of this is disclosed in the VRBO.com listing. 7. Be very careful with the twin bed on the right by the door. It is the bottom part of a trundle bed. If you look underneath, you will see the "bed frame" is not balanced such that if you sit on the end of the bed, it will flip up on you. 8. The apartment is poorly maintained. VRBO offered me a "financial concession" in response to my complaints, but they never gave it to e. If none of the above issues are a concern to you, then all I can say is good luck.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the stay did not meet your expectations; however, we would like to clarify a few points for future guests.
The apartment has never included a microwave among its listed amenities. Information shown incorrectly by third-party platforms is beyond our control.
The building does have an elevator; as is common in historic Roman buildings, there are a few steps before reaching it.
The apartment is located on Viale Trastevere, one of the most central and lively areas of Rome, where some city noise can be expected and is clearly indicated in the listing.
Regarding heating and air conditioning, systems are managed according to seasonal regulations, and no restrictions were imposed on their use.
The kitchen is equipped as described and suitable for standard residential use.
The pre check-in process, including ID upload and rental agreement, is a legal requirement in Italy for short-term rentals and is handled through a secure system, with assistance always available.
The twin/trundle bed has a standard metal frame, is stable when used correctly, and is shown in the photos.
The apartment is regularly maintained, professionally cleaned, and recently renovated.
Throughout the stay, our team responded promptly and courteously to all requests. While we regret the guest’s dissatisfaction, we stand by the accuracy of our listing and the quality of the apartment.
Kind regards,
