About this property
1 Bed in Teignmouth (oc-s30458)
A UNIQUE and delightful riverside sanctuary for two on the edge of the River Teign, perfect for couples seeking peace, serenity and a place to stay with their four pawed pals. The property is ideally positioned for exploring Teignmouth and the wider South Devon coastline, with the town centre a level short stroll away and the beach right outside your lounge patio door. This apartment offers a private mooring trot with space for a small boat or kayak/canoe (at guests risk) – don’t forget your doggie life jackets!
You will never tire of the ever changing river views that take centre stage in this delightful two storey apartment, allowing you to sit and admire the fabulous views with your four-pawed pal lovingly settled by your side. From the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner (with 43” Smart TV) you have direct access to a small private beachside terrace which if you step off, you are immediately on the sandy, dog friendly beach. The terrace is perfect for Al Fresco dining whilst watching the spectacular sunsets and river life. On this ground floor level there is a well equipped shower room. The master king size bedroom is upstairs on the first floor from the lounge area and for your comfort there is a 43” Smart TV. Note: there is also a fold up double bed in the ground floor lounge if required, please advise.
Set tails wagging with all kinds of Devonshire days out, including long, rewarding walks along the South West Coastal Path. Take the passenger ferry across the river to the quaint seaside village of Shaldon with its traditional village green and pubs. Browse Teignmouth’s independent shops and dine out with a variety of cafes, restaurants, take aways and pubs all within a level stroll away. Venture 10 miles to Dartmoor and spend the day exploring the beautiful landscapes of the National Park, or just 5 miles to Torquay also known as the English Riviera. The historic Cathedral city of Exeter is just 30 minutes away by car or train.
There are lots of local events such as the Shaldon Regatta, Shaldon Water Carnival, Torbay Air Show, Devon County Show, along with many various local food and music festivals to enjoy.
There is a well appointed shower room off the lounge/kitchen area.
If you are bringing your own small boat or kayak, by prior arrangement with the owner you can make use of their mooring trot (at guests own risk). Private parking for one small car is available on the forecourt, and there are also pay and display cars parks close by.
If you have friends or family who would like to join you on your holiday, please check the availability of Saltwhistle View (sleeps 2) Ref: OC-S30459 which is directly above.
