I don’t think we have ever had a better holiday. The Villa is beautiful with 3 different levels. Full balcony, covered balcony and garden area. The living accommodation is spacious and wonderfully appointed and the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook on holiday. The laundry room is a bonus to save washing at home! The village is rural and very authentic and the bars are full of locals. If you want a holiday to get into the real Andalusia then this is the place. Set mid way between Malaga, Cadiz, Seville, Cordova it’s a perfect place to explore these delights or just stay close to home to discover the white villagesWe had a wonderful 10 days and are already planning a return visitsThank you for letting us share in you beautiful home. Wow thank you for such a lovely review! We're delighted you had such a fabulous time staying at La Roca, it's great to hear that you enjoyed our house and the lovely village as much as we do. Looking forward to welcoming you again anytime!
Our family spent six nights here in early June 2025. We were greeted warmly by Miranda, who gave us an explanatory tour. We took the route recommended by Waze, and quickly learned that the route past the recreation area is much more direct. The house has a jaw-dropping, unobstructed views of the Sierra de Grazalema. The 'pueblo blanco' of Montecorto was a perfect base for exploring this part of Andalusia. We went to Ronda (twice), Estepona (two hours), Grazalema, Zahara, Olvera, Setenil, and Montajaque. We had perfect weather. The house is bigger than we had imagined. The rock features are pretty cool. It must have been designed by an architect. The pool was welcome on the hotter days. The kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfy as was the temperature. We would not hesitate to return.
This is a delightful home in a lovely little village. Over 8 days we drove 950km all through the white hill towns! The house was perfect for us, however it should be noted there are many steps in the house that could be an issue for children or adults with balance issues. But we would visit again! And Miranda was a perfect host! We were desiring a small fan to move the warm air, and she brought one right away on Sunday evening! The house guide book has great information! Don’t miss the ancient Roman city of Acinipo! It is so impressive! We made a day road trip to Grenada to see the Moorish palace of Alhambra—it was a surprisingly easy day trip. Plan to start driving by 0630. It was about 2:20 in time each way! Ronda is an amazing city as well! The best meal we’ve had in 6 weeks in Europe was without a doubt Kutral! Chef Martin and his dry-aged steaks are incredible. It is located in the more industrial area of Ronda, but highly recommended! Lastly, if you are wanting a wonderful wine tasting—set one up with Pelar at Ramos-Paul! You absolutely won’t be disappointed!
