A property with great potential, marred by neglect
Lovely location. Nice villa, not quite as nice as in the pictures, but with lovely modest sized bedrooms with large comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The upstairs living room was unusable because it was not air conditioned and anyway the weird beanbag chairs didn't look comfortable. The huge spectacular terrace with a great view was not usable during the day because the sun cover over it is disintegrating and lets in too much light (look at the picture), but it was great in the evening. Kitchen and dining room were a little dark but fine. Stove, fridge, cookware ... are all good. The pool is not large but is nice and warm like bathwater in the evenings when you can hear wild boars in the nearby trees.The owner barely interacted with us. He wasn't there when we arrived at the gate. We were able to text him through VRBO (thank goodness we had an internet connection) and he replied oh yeah, I'll be there in about 20 minutes to let you in. The next day the power went out and neither we nor the guests in the other house were able to reach him. (It went back on after 20-30 minutes, but he never mentioned the message I left him.) The AC in my bedroom stopped working on the first day and no one ever came to look at it. The AC in the dining room never worked and when I texted the owner about it he never responded. The other guests experienced similar unresponsiveness.
