Grange Cottage, Ardglass

Enjoy the rural setting of Grange Cottage, self catering accommodation adjacent to our home. We are approximately 4.5 miles south of Downpatrick in the Lecale area. We are 3 miles from Ardglass, 2.5 miles from Killough & 9 miles from Strangford. About 30 minutes drive will take you to the seaside town of Newcastle, Castlewellan Forest Park, Tollymore Forest Park and the Mourne Mountains. Belfast is approximately 45 minutes drive. Royal County Down & Ardglass golf clubs are both a short drive.
Our cottage comprises a spacious living room, hall, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms. In the living room are 3 comfortable sofas, a coffee table and a 60” smart TV. The lower bedroom is accessed through double doors and steps from the living room. It comprises a king and a single bed. The upper bedroom is open plan and is accessed by an open stairway leading from the lower bedroom and has one double and one single bed. Hanging clothes rails and drawer space is available in both bedrooms. The kitchen has a RangeMaster gas/electric double oven cooker, dishwasher. washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer and dining table. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in level access rain shower and heated towel rail. The led mirror has Bluetooth and a demister function.
High speed WiFi is available.

Courtyard space; guests are welcome to make use of the patio furniture set in the courtyard.

St Patrick:
The Lecale area is rich in the history of the patron saint of Ireland, St Patrick. Points of interest include the St Patrick’s Centre, Down Cathedral (burial place of St Patrick, St Brigid & St Colmcille), Inch Abbey, Struell Wells. Guided walking tours are available through the St Patrick’s Centre.
Game of Thrones:
Filming sites include: Castle ward (Winterfell), Tollymore Forest Park, River Quoile, Inch abbey.
Golf:
Royal County Down (25 mins), Ardglass (8 mins), Bright Castle (5 mins), St Patrick's (12 mins), Royal Portrush (2 hours).

Murlough, Tyrella, Rossglass, Minerstown, Ballyhornan, Kilclief are all within 20 minutes drive.
