Beach weekend getaway

My family and I had a wonderful time at Village Green in Cape May! It was cozy and we had everything we needed and then some (we appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas for use). We loved all the seaside decor and the fact that the house was within walking distance to the beach.

Outstanding Experience

Rob was amazing. He helped us out with a few extras to accommodate our 2 year old son and his nap schedule. The property was spotless and in a great location. The neighborhood is perfect. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great home!!

The house was wonderful. Nice quiet side street with tons of space to park right in front of the house. Rob was super great and accommodating. If i ever have to go to Cape May again I would book this property.

Super cute rental. Quiet neighborhood. We loved the big deck and the outside shower. House was clean and had everything we needed for a three day stay! The host was responsive and helpful!! We would rent again.

Lovely, quiet neighborhood

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and it was a nice little spot a 10 min walk to the beach. It was quiet and the communication with the host was great. They responded quickly with any questions we had. It was nicely decorated.

This place is perfect for a family trip! Rob, the host, is so kind and cool—he’s the best! The property is super clean, beautiful, and cozy. Cape May beach is nearby, and there are plenty of shopping areas and restaurants close by. If you forget anything from home, there are many markets nearby too. There are also bike rental shops and an awesome neighborhood for riding! Thank you again, Rob. We had a fantastic time and truly appreciate it. We hope to visit again next time!

Quaint and cute

We arrived and the property was very accommodative. Bob let us check in early . The only issue was the toilet not flushing but Bob called us right away.

We loved the vibe of the property, the peaceful area, the close location to the USCG training center, and the fact that we could just rent for the one night needed. It was a little difficult securing bedding & towels for a cross country flying trip. I asked a cpl of times before our trip about renting bedding in the area but didn't receive an answer. The window blinds in both bedrooms are transluent so if early morning light wakes you, bring eye masks! Otherwise, everything else needed is provided & and is cute as can be!

Rob, the host was quick & most helpful in responding to a couple of questions we had prior to our stay. 5 Star Guy!Our rental was 1 of 4 in a ranch style multi-family house (2 units in front, 2 in yard). We had expected a single family home. We had never seen this particular style of build but seemed common in the neighborhood. The other 3 units were unoccupied so quiet. The house was cozy, cute nautical decor & very clean. Not used to bringing our own sheets & towels. We all missed that notation when booking but thankfully Rob included a reminder in his correspondence w house address and key pad code.The house is conveniently located, approx a mile to restaurants, beach, & whale watching cruise. We did see a whale & 2 dolphins! We also recommend the Historic Trolly Tour.One thing we could have used a heads up on was that major street work is being done on the block of the house as well as the adjacent side street. We planned to relax w drinks & food on the deck each day but obviously no. Heavy machinery was ripping up the asphalt, clouds of dust flying, etc. The Porta potty was next to the curb closest to the find table provided for a laugh of our view. A municipal dept letter in house was dated April w no finish date noted. Due to this work no parking allowed on street 6am - 5pm due to work, so no overnight unless alarm set for 5:55am. We used driveway slab of empty unit for 2nd vehicle. We did enjoy our stay & would consider booking again in future.

If early morning sun lite bothers you pick up a Dollar Tree table cloth to put over window above bed. Works like a charm!

We had such a great time here for my birthday, the outside shower was perfect to rinse off all the sand from the beach and the outside deck was a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the evenings. While we did choose to drive to the beach, it was still about 3 minutes from the house. Walking would be maybe 25. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Walking distance to the beach, and the surrounding areas. The neighborhood was quiet. Rob was very responsive and check in and out was easy. The outdoor shower (with hot water!) was great to have when returning from the beach, and there were chairs and umbrellas to use (no need to rent). The house was clean. It is an old house, which isn't necessarily an issue, but there were things that weren't well maintained. The paint was peeling off parts of the ceiling and walls in many of the rooms. On the porch, one bar on the railing was missing. It was clearly very humid and moist indoors (you can smell it in the air, something to note if you have allergies). There was an air purifier and dehumidifier, which we really appreciated. Nonetheless, the dehumidifier could never get the humidity level to below 60, the whole time we were there. It's not set up to run continuously, so we had to empty the reservoir every couple of hours. The living room and kitchen areas are a bit dark. There were propane tanks ready to sue, which was great. The grill was a bit gunky though. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, as well as soap, sponges, detergent, etc. There were a couple of pots and pans. The pantry had some seasonings and cooking oil and vinegar, but bring your own spices and condiments if you plan to cook and eat at the house. The microwave's stirrer fan cover (inside top) had clearly been melted so we didn't feel comfortable using it.
