About this property

This home has been family owned for 3 generations enjoying all the excitement of the Jersey shore. This first floor unit has been completely renovated to provide all the modern amenities, while designed to maintain a historic appeal. You will notice refinished original hardwood floors, solid wood 5-panel doors, accents of seashore tiles, and a stained glass transom. All mattress sets are 'Heavenly Beds' by Simmons for luxurious comfort, and all bedrooms along with living and dining room have ceiling fans.

The newly designed kitchen, with all stainless steel appliances, provides open access to the living area and front porch, great for family gatherings and entertainment. Granite counter tops include a double sink and additional bar sink. The front porch also includes a breakfast nook complete with a built-in window seat. A newly created outside seating area includes private area for sitting, watching the passer-bys and grilling! A gas Weber grill will be provided. High-speed wireless internet is also available.

Actual address is 831 St. James Place. This unit is 1 block from the beach and the start of the boardwalk. Our end of the boardwalk hosts the 1st street lifeguard station with bathrooms and first aid, if necessary. Close by on the boards is Brown's restaurant,famous for their fresh morning donuts, and Anthony's Water Ice for those hot beach days. The property also has an outside shower and changing room for rinsing off after returning from the beach. At the opposite end of our block from the beach, there is a deli, restaurant, pizza shop, and ice cream parlor within 1-3 short blocks. Additionally, we offer 6 beach tags, boogie board, horseshoes, and family board games to get started on your fun.

Best vacation ever!

My mom and I so enjoyed our stay! The home was immaculate and the beds were so very comfortable. My mom really enjoyed the massage chair. It was so nice that the paper products were included and the kitchen had everything that we needed. The location is perfect with just a short walk to a fully stocked deli, the Island Grill restaurant, Browns doughnuts on the boardwalk (you must try), and the beach. Having our fur babies with us instead of having to board them was a wonderful bonus and helped us to relax even more. Adding to all of that is the fact that the owners are so very nice and attentive to your needs. You will not be disappointed!

Great beach house

House was clean and perfect for our family’s stay for a few days. Tristin was delightful to work with and very responsive. My only issue would be the parking situation since I didn’t realize until right before our trip that it was street parking only. I had to drive around for almost an hour looking for parking the day we arrived and ended up parking over a half mile away. As a result we took Lyft or Uber everywhere we went, which got a little expensive

Lovely stay

My husband and family stayed at this beach house for 7 days (6 nights). Location was perfect, 11/2 blocks from the beach/boardwalk so it was pretty easy walk to and from the beach and boardwalk which we did everyday we were here. House was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had all necessities for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable which made for good sleeping/resting. It got cool/cold at night and blankets were handy. And having washer and dryer was great, so one doesn't need to over-pack for the trip. Tristin was easy to communicate with and very responsive to all your needs. The only issue was street parking, which Tristin can't really control. All in all a beautiful stay.

Hello, I am Tristin Thompson, 3rd generation home owner to this property. I spent my summers in this house on the 3rd floor while tenants rented the 1st and 2nd floor. I was responsible for cleaning the rentals on Saturdays before I could go ride my bike or play on the beach and boardwalk. My father still uses the 2nd and 3rd floor during his summers. I reside in Kentucky and only get to visit Ocean City for short durations to get the property ready for the summer or to close it down. I love staying there and I love how the entire renovation provided new updated conveniences but still gives me the comfy feel of summer at the beach!
