About this property
Ty Log, Llansteffan - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Ty Log is a lovely log cabin in a fantastic location close to the Carmarthen coast near Llansteffan. The cabin is surrounded by peaceful views of green fields and landscaped gardens - an idyllic escape. Ty Log is an absolute gem .
Green Castle Woods is less than a 5 minute drive which is a great haven for wildlife and carpeted with bluebells, wild garlic and other wildflowers in springtime. There are also hay meadows, an area of wet pasture, a stream and a delightful waterfall. The whole wood is criss-crossed by centuries old hedges, walls and sunken lanes.
Llansteffan and its 2 sandy beaches is only four miles from Ty log, with a Norman castle above the village, where there is a store with cafe and pizzeria, two pubs and a small art gallery.
Only ten minutes away by car is the county town of Carmarthen. The ancient town, believed to be the oldest in Wales is steeped in history, myths and legends. There are a wide variety of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as a choice of supermarkets, a cinema, bowling alley and the Gwili Steam Railway.
Please note that the ponds are not fenced off and therefore Ty Log may not be suitable for children under 8 years of age. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times.
